PTUとはPolice Tactical Unit=香港警察特殊機動部隊の略称。その任務は、夜の繁華街をパトロールし、街の平和と安全を守ること。この日も隊員たちはホー隊長指揮の下、警邏にあたっていた。一方、組織犯罪課のサァ刑事は街のチンピラともめ事を起こした際、拳銃を紛失してしまう。第23回香港電影金像奨 最優秀監督賞受賞。

Iron Monkey is a Hong Kong variation of Robin Hood. Corrupt officials of a Chinese village are robbed by a masked bandit known as "Iron Monkey", named after a benevolent deity. When all else fails, the Governor forces a traveling physician into finding the bandit. The arrival of an evil Shaolin monk, brings the physician and Iron Monkey together to battle the corrupt government.

On his way to a congress of kung fu masters, an initiate falls from a high cliff, only to be rescued by lovely Tien Lam (Anita Mui), who rides a huge crane. The rest of the movie features a battle between warring martial arts factions, an equally fierce rivalry between the two daughters of the Crane Master, the accidental empowerment of an unprincipled master after having eaten half of a secret scroll, a battle with an immense tortoise whose spleeny vapors save a group of poisoned swordsmen, lots of great aerial fights against nearly invincible villains, and the usual blood spurting from assorted mouths.

Two inventors encounter a friendly little ghost, and stumble onto a plot to capture the ghost's uncle who was responsible for his untimely death. However, the inventors are warned by a spiritual master that humans and ghosts cannot co-exist in the same room at the same time. Doing so would cause a drainage of humans' life force.

Five hundred years ago, to practice witchcraft, a bat elf forces her sister, Siu-chu to lure strong men so that she can suck their blood. A priest stops Siu-chu from killing two guards by using his supernatural powers. After fighting, both parties are wounded. To help the guards cope with bat elves, the priest gives them string instruments, swords and thousand-year-old snow pearls. Unexpectedly, the guards swallow the snow pearls and it takes them five hundred years to resurrect……
