Sayaka Taniguchi

This film tells three scary stories that take place in and around a school in Japan. While each of the stories can be viewed independently, they are linked by location and by the time they occur. The events are defined on the last day of summer vacation, the students contemplate the passage of their temporary freedom and the resumption of classes

Norihiko, who couldn't tell his friends that his family was too poor to buy him a bicycle and had to tell lie after lie after lie, became an office worker whose only merit as an adult was his feeble mind and no tardiness or absenteeism.

廃線が決まった北海道のローカル線・幌舞線の終着駅である幌舞。駅と運命をともにするかのように定年を迎えつつある駅長の乙松は、どんな時にも仕事を休んだことのない筋金入りの鉄道員（ぽっぽや）だった。十数年前、生まれたばかりの娘が亡くなった日も、約2年前に妻が病に倒れた日も、休むことなく駅に立ち続けた。周囲は彼の定年後をあれこれと心配するが、そんなある日、彼は偶然から見慣れぬ少女と親しくなる。
