This is the story of a little robot known as Pinocchio 3000 whose greatest wish is to become a real boy. The year is 3000. Geppetto, with the help of his faithful assistant, Spencer the cyber penguin, and by the holographic fairy Cyberina, creates Pinocchio, a prototype superrobot equipped for emotions. But before he can be given a heart and become a real boy, Cyberina insists that Pinocchio learn the difference between right and wrong.

Desperate for companionship, the repressed Willard befriends a group of rats that inhabit his late father's deteriorating mansion. In these furry creatures, Willard finds temporary refuge from daily abuse at the hands of his bedridden mother and his father's old partner, Frank. Soon it becomes clear that the brood of rodents is ready and willing to exact a vicious, deadly revenge on anyone who dares to bully their sensitive new master.

5,000年前の古代エシプト。ゴモラの都は戦乱に明け暮れ無秩序状態に陥っていた。時の支配者メムノンは邪悪なパワーを駆使して他民族のせん滅を図る。そんなメムノンの傍若無人な振る舞いに敢然と立ちはだかる一人の勇敢な戦士、その名は“スコーピオン・キング”マサイアス。勇気と知恵を振り絞り悪の権化メムノンに闘いを挑むマサイアスだったが、彼の前には裏切り者の出現や巨大殺人軍隊アリの群れといった難関が次々と襲い掛かるのだった。

ニューヨークの駅構内。不審な行動を見咎められ警察に連行される謎の男プロート。彼は自らを遥か1,000光年彼方のK－PAX星からやって来た異星人だと名乗り精神病院に送られる。プロートの治療に当たるのは精神科のパウエル医師。初めのうちは単なる妄想か虚言と高を括っていたパウエルだったが、その落ち着き払った言動や理路整然とした説明にかすかな疑問を抱き始める。さらに、プロートの存在は他の患者たちにも強い影響を与え、パウエルが治せずにいる患者たちがみるみる回復していく。

1914年、ナイル河畔の地下の神殿で見つかった古代文字は火・水・土・風以外の“第5の要素”があると示す。2214年、ニューヨーク。久しぶりに地球を訪れたモンドシャワン人の宇宙船は、武器商人ゾーグとその手下マンガロワ人に撃墜される。宇宙船にあった細胞を再生すると、地球の言語が分からない美少女が生まれ、町に逃げ出す。彼女、リールーはタクシー運転手コーベンに救われ、彼女の言葉が分かる神父のもとへ向かう。
