中国・隋朝の末期、東都に鄭王・王世充が、暴政の限りを尽くしていた。武術家として名高い「神腿張」は捕らわれている仲間達を助けようとするが、逆に返り討ちにあう。神腿張の息子である小虎も重傷を負いながら命からがら少林寺まで逃げ延びる。少林寺の門前で力尽きた小虎は小林武僧らに介抱される。父親の敵を討つ為、小虎は仏門に入門し、曇宗和尚の元、少林拳の修行をする。修行期間中、白無瑕という一人の少女と出会う。
