8年前に妻が家を出て以来、高校生の一人娘と暮らす水道工員の磯辺裕次郎。父親が急死して多額の遺産を手にした彼は突如喫茶店経営を思いつき、無計画にも“純喫茶磯辺”を開店させる。閑古鳥の鳴くダサい店は、美人の素子をアルバイトに雇ってから一転、クセモノばかりの常連客でにぎわい始める。
