酒びたりの日々を送る弁護士が、ある訴訟をきっかけに再び真実と正義を問いただすようになるまでを描く法廷ドラマ。主人公ギャルビンは新聞の死亡欄から裁判になりそうな事件を見つけては、葬儀に紛れ込んで依頼を受けようとするまでに落魄れた毎日を送っていた。そこに医療ミスで植物人間にされた患者の弁護の仕事がやってくる。始めは金になりそうと言うだけで引き受けたが、調査を進める内に再び弁護士魂に火が点り、法廷に立ち上がるギャルビンだったが……。
