Saritha is a South Indian actress who has acted in more than 160 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu languages. She was one of the popular and critically acclaimed lead actresses during the 1980s. She is also credited as a dubbing artist.

Kalyana Agathigal is a 1985 Tamil language drama film directed by K. Balachander. The film features Saritha in lead role. The film was released on April 12, 1985. The film marked the acting debut of Nassar. The movie begins with a group of six women who live together as friends after their attempt at living a successful married life is thwarted due to various reasons, majorly because of men, sexual abuse, dowry harassment and the backward society. They also form a music band called "kalyana agathigal" to raise funds for charity to the underprivileged. Ammulu, a young runaway girl, joins the gang of girls and becomes a part of the household. The story is about how their lives make wild twists and turns as they cope with the society and try to find true love.

Produced by Chandulal Jain, the film is a remake of 1969 Tamil hit Iru Kodugal starring Gemini Ganesan, Sowcar Janaki and Jayanthi. The music is composed by M. S. Viswanathan. The story revolves around a man who circumstantially gets to marry two women and undergoes emotional roller-coaster. The film was made in Telugu as Collector Janaki and in Hindi as Sanjog.

Radha (the girl who is raped by Chakravarthy)
The story revolves around Chakravarthy (Older Rajini) who is a successful textile businessman in Coimbatore. He is a great womaniser (perhaps his only weakness) and picks up any women he wants. He has wife Meenakshi (Lakshmi), his son Santosh (also Rajini) and his daughter Sangeetha (Vijayashanthi). It doesn't take long for Santosh to find his father's provocative behavior and tries to mend his father's ways. Radha (Saritha) gets introduced as a candidate for PRO (Public Relations Officer) interview and eventually gets selected and is sent to Hong Kong for training. Chakravarthy unable to tolerate his son's growing menace also sets off to Hong Kong for a vacation. Here he meets Radha and at one point ends up raping her. Chakravarthy flies back to India where he is met with a number of changes which all points out to the new General Manager.

It is a Hindu mythological film directed by Vijay, and based on the tale of Prahalada. The film stars Rajkumar, Saritha, Puneeth Rajkumar and Ananth Nag. The soundtrack was composed by T. G. Lingappa. The film won State Film Awards in Sound recording and cinematography categories. This was the fourth Kannada film on Prahlada after the 1942 film Bhakta Prahlada, the 1958 film Bhakta Prahlada and the 1960 film Dashavathara. Of the four films, this was the only one which was not shot in black and white. This movie was dubbed in Telugu as Narasimhaavataaram.
