David Hodgin was an American screenwriter, known for Murder at 1600 (1997). He died March 4, 1995, of congenital heart failure while watching a movie in a suburban Chicago theater. He was 39. He had lived with a heart condition since birth, but it had remained stabilized for most of his life. The film, Murder at 1600, was released on April 18, 1997, some two years after the 39-year-old Hodgin died. The movie has an "In Memory Of" him in the closing titles.
