タクシードライバー、ジャックの車に少年と少女が乗り込んでくる。彼はどこか微妙にズレた言動の二人をいぶかるが、いつものように車を発進させる。ところが、突然どこからか数台の武装したSUV車が現れ、彼らの後を追跡し始める。

ホテルの設備係のスキーターは、一週間ほど姉の子ども達を預かることに。彼は夜になると幼い兄妹を寝かしつけるため、自分を主人公にした思いつきの物語を語る。ところが、子ども達はスキーターの話を横取りして勝手に物語を奇想天外なものに変えてしまう。すると翌日、子ども達が昨晩語っていた「空からガムが降る」というありえないような出来事が現実に起こる。さらにその後も、子ども達が作った話だけが次々に起こる。
