立山連峰で山小屋を営む父に育てられた亨。だが成人した彼は父と距離を置き、都会の大企業で社会の歯車としての日々を過ごしていた。そんなある日、突然父の訃報が届く。帰郷した彼は、気丈に振る舞う母や父と親しかった仲間たちの想いに触れ、山小屋を受け継ぐことを決意する。都会暮らしを捨てた亨は、父の友人という風来坊のゴロさん、若いスタッフの女性・愛の助けを借り、苦労を重ねながらも新たな人生に向き合い始める。

明治40年、日本地図完成のために立山連峰、劔岳への登頂に挑む、陸軍測量手の柴崎芳太郎ら７人の測量隊。山の案内人、宇治長次郎や助手の生田信らと頂への登り口を探すが、生田が足を滑らせけがを負ってしまう。大自然の厳しさを見せつけられた測量隊だったが、柴崎と宇治はある言葉を思い出す。

1952（昭和27）年、夏の東京。小説家の関口はちまたで広まる、産婦人科の大病院である久遠寺医院の娘・梗子が、妊娠20カ月目を迎えたのに一向に出産する気配がなく、しかも彼女の夫は1年半前に医院の密室から忽然と消え、以来、行方不明となっているという不思議な噂を耳にする。雑誌の依頼で事件を取材することになった関口は、古本屋の店主にして神社の神主でもある、博覧強記の友人・京極堂に相談を持ちかける。

Minako (TANAKA Yuko), begins her day running up and down the hills of her hometown delivering milk door to door. When that's done, she heads to her day job as a supermarket cashier. Minako is 50 and single. In one of the houses to which she delivers milk is a man with whom she has secretly been in love since high school. The man, Keita (KISHIBE Ittoku), lives with his wife Yoko, who is terminally ill. Caring for her at home, he works in the children's affairs section of the local municipal office. Though he insists that he wants nothing more than an "ordinary" existence, his life is in turmoil below the surface. The director uses a variety of narrative devises to portray the loneliness, isolation, and hope of these people who have seemingly allowed their goals and dreams to slip away, whilst keeping them agonizingly close to hand.

Winter Days is a 2003 animated film, directed by Kihachirō Kawamoto. It is based on one of the renku (collaborative linked poems) in the 1684 collection of the same name by the 17th-century Japanese poet Bashō. The creation of the film followed the traditional collaborative nature of the source material – the visuals for each of the 36 stanzas were independently created by 35 different animators. As well as many Japanese animators, Kawamoto assembled leading names of animation from across the world. Each animator was asked to contribute at least 30 seconds to illustrate their stanza, and most of the sequences are under a minute (Yuriy Norshteyn's, though, is nearly two minutes long).

A foreign spy using the Sorge alias is assigned to Tokyo the capital of Japan just prior to the outbreak of World War II and in the midst of the Japanese imperial ambitions in Eastern Asia. The spy becomes acquainted with a sympathetic communist who like he is attached to the ideals of freedom and rule of the masses. Sorge is able to feed the Soviet Union useful information regarding the Axis allies and their movements in Asia and beyond.

天明三年(1783年)。多くの財を築き上げた下総国佐原村の名主・伊能忠敬は隠居の身となり、念願の夢を果たすべく江戸に移った。その夢とは、子午線を測って地球の大きさを割り出すという途方もないもの。幕府天文方の高橋至時から教えを受けた忠敬は歩測を繰り返す中、幕府が蝦夷地の地図を欲しがっている事を知る。

ホームレスの集落を訪れた失業中の中年男・陽介は、そこで人生の師と仰ぐ老人・タロウの死に直面する。生前、タロウから「盗んだ金の仏像を、能登半島の日本海に面した赤い橋のたもとの家に隠した」と聞いていた陽介は、富山湾沿いの赤い橋のある土地を訪れた。そこで陽介は、たもとの家に住むサエコと出会うが、彼女の体には不思議な現象が起きていた。体内に水がたまると悪いことがしたくなり、快感と共に水を放出するというのだ。

1970年代、群馬県の山奥にある全寮制中学“独立学園”。父を亡くして転校してきた道夫は、きつ音のため、級友からのいじめに遭う。道夫はソプラノの声で歌う美しい少年、康夫に出会い、合唱団の顧問、清野に引き合わされる。清野から歌っているときは、きつ音にならないことを指摘された道夫は、合唱団に入部し、康夫と共に地区大会を目指し練習に励む。

昭和二年、古本屋の女将が殺されるという事件が起きた。第一発見者が逮捕されるが、やがて他の者にも嫌疑がかかる。『屋根裏の散歩者』に続いて実相寺昭雄が監督した、明智小五郎を探偵役とする佳品。原作は江戸川乱歩の2つの短編「D坂の殺人事件」と「心理試験」。物語は真田広之演ずる贋作師・蕗屋が依頼された春画の製作を中心に、妖しくもつれた人間関係を官能的に描いていく。

かつて、妻の浮気に逆上し妻を殺してしまった男・山下拓郎。以来、極度の人間不信に陥った山下は仮出所後、理髪店を営みながらも人々との交流を避け、本音を明かす唯一のパートナーとして“うなぎ”を選ぶ。ある日、山下は河原で自殺未遂の女性・桂子を助ける。桂子は恩返しにと理髪店の手伝いを申し出て、山下は渋々雇うことにするが…。

戦時下の昭和19年に富山に疎開した東京の少年と地元の少年の友情と葛藤を描いたドラマ。柏原兵三の小説を藤子不二雄Aが漫画化、これを篠田正浩監督が映画化した。昭和19年10月、戦局が悪化の一途を辿る中、東京の小学5年生だった風間進二は、富山に縁故疎開することになった。ひ弱な優等生タイプの進二は学校ではよそ者扱いを受ける。そんな進二にガキ大将の武が近づいてきた。徐々に打ち解ける二人だったが、権力を誇示する武は学校では進二に冷たく接するのだった……。

昭和17年、秋元多恵が主人を務める横浜の遊廓ホテル福寿老に、美津と冬美の姉妹が売られてくる。その翌日、多恵の夫の市太郎が他殺体で発見され、ボイラーマンの荘介も腹を刺されて重体になった。カナダから帰国した市太郎の姉のキクは多恵が犯人に違いないと証言、警察も多恵を拷問するが、回復した荘介の証言により多恵は釈放された。だが今度はキクが殺され、キクに客を取らされ投身自殺した美津の遺体も見つかった。すべての部屋の会話が地下のボイラー室で盗み聞きできることに気づいた多恵は、荘介が犯人だと知り激しいショックを受ける。

He meets a young girl named Lana, and they eventually foil the plans of the city-state of Industria which wants to regain the lethal weapons.
