人類が滅亡した後の地球で一体の人形「９」が目を覚ます。声が出ない彼は声をかけられた人形「２」と出会い、彼は喋れるようにしてくれた。しかし突然、機械怪獣・ビーストに襲われ「２」は連れ去られてしまう。一人ぼっちになったが次に出会ったのは、リーダーの「１」、女騎士の「７」などの仲間たち。９は２を助けようと仲間たちと共に旅に出る。
