A rainy morning by the sea. A talking house. A car that returns. When the inside and the outside alternate. When the familiar and the unfamiliar coincide.

Elizabeth, a sexually yielding policewoman, is miserable in the narrow-minded town in which she's living. While Rita, a lonely eel-hatchery worker, is trying to escape from the sticky situations of her life.

A random explosion connects three stories, where strangers are trying to find some way to live on the edge of legality.

Fedonas and Anastasia's life together is only just beginning; madly in love with plans for a family they find themselves a big house to start their new life. But when Fedonas decides to plant a palm tree in their backyard the garden gives up a long-buried secret and with it comes some unwanted attention from the police and the local mafia. As the landlord had warned them "Never dig... in someone else's garden!"

The story takes place near the famous Ancient Corinth (around the mid-4th century BCE), referring to its two harbours (named Lechaion and Kenchreae). Several ships, avoiding the dangerous travel around the whole of Peloponnese, were transferred from the Corinth Golf to the Golf of Saronikos, on top of an eight-wheel vehicle dragged along a stone-paved road (the “Diolkos”), almost parallel to the actual Corinth-Canal. The film describes several technical details of the whole operation, as well as various events such as the visits of the sailors to an ancient Greek Temple and to a tavern, where a hypothetically available Hydraulis (water organ) was played, or to a public fountain encountered along the Diolkos.

Elias of the 16th Precinct follows three friends – Elias, Thomas and Vangelis – who face considerable financial hurdles with their debts rivalling the size of Everest. They decide the only solution is to snatch money from Vangelis’ boss, Labros ; a cafeteria owner, pawnbroker and fence. While Thomas will attempt the breaking and entering, Elias will be disguised as a police officer – for security reasons, of course. Hilarity ensues as this comedy of errors sends their plan spiralling off in a totally different direction.
