ニューヨーク自然史博物館の展示物に命を吹き込むエジプトの石板（タブレット）の魔力が消えかけていた。最悪の事態を回避すべく夜警のラリーと仲間たちは、石板の謎を解く鍵を求めロンドンの大英博物館へ向かう。一行はエッシャーのだまし絵に迷い込み、恐竜の化石や九つの頭を持つ大蛇に襲われ、ロンドン市街でチェイスを繰り広げるはめになる。

警備員として夜のニューヨーク自然史博物館を平和に戻して以来、ビジネスも息子との関係も良好なラリー。ある日、スミソニアン博物館の展示物から、助けを求める電話が舞いこむ。何と、世界征服を企むエジプト王ファラオが、歴史上の有名戦士たちを率いて戦いを始めようとしているとのことだっだ。
