This distinctly Russian war story takes place in 1942 behind enemy lines. A regiment of partisans captures former Red Army lieutenant Lazarev who is dressed in a German uniform. He’s a Nazi defector and collaborator but now desires to switch back and fight with Russian partisans.

In this drama with socio-political nuances, a heroic engineer is able to save the passengers on his train from injury or death by sacrificing his own life when his locomotive crashes. An investigator Ermakov and journalist Malinin are both involved in the story of the crash but from two different angles: the investigator wants to find out why it happened, the journalist wants to laud the heroism of the dead engineer.

Russian monk Grigori Rasputin rises to power, which corrupts him along the way. His sexual perversions and madness ultimatly leads to his gruesome assasination.

Twenty-Six Days in the Life of Dostoyevsky was entered on February 16th at the 1981 Berlin Film Festival to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dostoyevsky's death on February 9th, 1881, and won a "Best Actor" award for Anatoly Solonitsyn as Dostoyevsky. Solonitsyn was a favorite actor in Andrei Tarkovsky's films, and this was to be his penultimate role. This brief imaginary period in the famed Russian writer's life encapsulates one of his darker moments in 1866. At that time he was still a relatively unknown writer whose first widely acclaimed work, Crime and Punishment, was just on the horizon. His life was at a very low ebb as he struggled with debts he could not pay, and as he fought depression over the loss of his wife to tuberculosis, and the death of his brother, who was very close to him. His first literary journal had to be scrapped because of political reasons, and the second venture needed funding.

The newlyweds return to Moscow after a wonderful sea cruise on the Black Sea. It seems that they will have a happy life ahead, their beloved job, but chance rudely cuts off all dreams: Viktor doesn't have time to slow down and knocks down an elderly woman with his Zhiguli. His desire to evade responsibility is replaced by repentance and a decision to accept the burden of guilt upon himself.

The setting is Central Asia during the Russian civil war. In the post-revolutionary twenties, when the power in European Russia was (officially) "fully in the hands of the workers and peasants", but the fight against the Basmachi rebels was in full swing. When a Red Army detachment captures Sultan Mazar, the brains behind the Bazmachi contingent, a decision is made to escort urgently the prisoner to the Bukhara province. The difficult mission is entrusted to a grizzled mountain trapper and conscientious revolutionary called Mirzo. His expertise is essential to traverse the precarious paths and steep mountain ridges along the way, impossible terrain for the inexperienced. A group consisting of Mirzo, his brother Kova, the Sultan, his daughter Zaranghis and slave Saifulla set off on this journey. They are forced to fight on the mountain ridges as well as negotiate the natural dangers and harsh elements.

Two cash collectors are found burned with their car but the bag is missing. Two detectives - Aleksandr Sanin and Aleksey Tulyakov are investigating the crime.

The film is based on a true dramatic story of the fate of a wonderful Russian woman - Countess Yulia Petrovna Vrevskaya, one of the first Petersburg beauties. The events of the movie take place during the Russian-Turkish war for the liberation of the Bulgarian people from the Turkish yoke. An early widowed baroness, having left Petersburg, and having invested all her money in organizing a volunteer sanitary detachment, she becomes a sister of mercy on the front of the Bulgarian war with the Ottoman Empire of 1878.

Two Soviet partisans leave their starving band to get supplies from a nearby farm. The Germans have reached the farm first, so the pair must go on a journey deep into occupied territory, a voyage that will also take them deep into their souls.

A young engineer Dmitriy Zherekhov who came to the aircraft plant is trying to prove to the director that it is necessary to switch to new methods of organizing production. Directed by Edvin Laine and Viktor Tregubovich, Trust (1976) is a Finnish-Soviet historical drama film that follows the relations between Finland and the Soviet Union. In December 1917, the Finnish delegation, composed of Chairman of the Senate Finance Department P.E. Svinhufvud (Vilho Siivola), Senator Carl Enckell (Yrjö Tähtelä) and State Secretary Gustaf Idman (Yrjö Paulo) arrive in St. Petersburg to meet V.I. Lenin (Kirill Lavrov) to gain recognition for the country's independence.

Ａ・タルコフスキーの作品は様々な映像の断片がコラージュされたようなものばかりである。この「鏡」もまたそうであり、彼の自伝的要素を持つというが、解るような解らないような……。でもその数々の映像はどれもこれもかっこ良く、戦争の記録フィルムらしきものも出てくる。物語などの存在は忘れてただひたすら映像の中で泳ぐような感覚で、なんとも美しい一本だ。

Following the Russian Civil War, a loyal Red, Shilov, must prove he is at home among strangers as he attempts to recapture a shipment of gold that he was supposed to deliver to Moscow. Needed as a means of buying food for the people, the gold Shilov was entrusted with is stolen, initially by a group of assassins and then by a group of bandits. タルコフスキーとコンチャロフスキーという、旧ソ連の枠を脱して活躍することになる二大俊英が協力して脚本を執筆し、中世ロシア史上最高のイコン画家ルブリョフを主人公に、当時の社会と民衆の関わりを巨視的に捉えた歴史大作で、全体で二部構成。冒頭の、巨大な気球での飛行を試みる男たちの描写が象徴する閉鎖的な時代に、信仰と芸術の力によって風穴を開けたのがルブリョフと言える。彼は同窓の僧侶キリールに陥れられかけ、逆に大公の覚えめでたく宮廷画家となるが、連日、寺院の白い壁に向かい一筆も動かさない。神の愛を描きたいと願う彼の眼に時代は暗く映りすぎた。そして、公弟にそそのかされたタタール人が城を襲う（ここからが第二部）。ルブリョフは白痴の少女を救おうとして敵兵を討ち、後悔から筆を絶ち、修道院に戻るが、誰とも口をきかない。今や落魄の身のキリールとの再会……。ロシアはなお暗黒の中にあったが、大公は巨大な鐘の鋳造で威信回復を図る。今はなき名人の息子ボリースカの指導によって作業は開始され、ルブリョフはそれを興味深く見守る。秘訣を父に教わったという少年だが、実は鐘を作りたいばかりについた出まかせで、ようやく大鐘完成の暁に彼は真実を泣きながらルブリョフに明かす。彼は少年を賞賛し、自らも励まして言った。“君と一緒にやって行こう”……。１５年にわたる無言の行の末、最初に出た言葉がそれであった。彼は再び絵筆をとり、その後、それまでの白黒とうって変わった鮮やかなカラーで写し出される偉大な作品群を残したのである。観ることが主人公の忍従に重なるような重厚な作品だが、それ故にラストの解放感は筆舌に尽くし難い。丸裸の自己と神--という一対一の構図を発見するまでの確執を描くのは、後のタルコフスキー作品にも通じるテーマだ。
