전 세계의 이목이 집중된 1972년 뮌헨올림픽. 모두가 스포츠의 환희와 감동에 열광하는 가운데 끔찍한 인질 사건이 발생한다. 이 사건은 전 세계에 TV로 생중계가 되고, 팔레스타인 무장 조직 ‘검은 9월단’은 인질로 잡았던 이스라엘 선수단 11명을 살해한다. 전 세계는 엄청난 충격과 혼란에 휩싸이고, 팔레스타인은 이제 세계가 그들의 목소리로 귀기울이게 되었다고 자축한다. 하지만, 팔레스타인에 대한 보복을 결심한 이스라엘은 ‘검은 9월단’이 했던 것처럼 세계인의 이목을 끌 수 있는 비밀 공작을 준비하게 되고…. 이스라엘 정보기관 ‘모사드’는 최정예 요원들을 소집, 기록조차 없는 비밀 조직을 만들고 ‘검은 9월단’에 대한 복수를 명령한다. 조국애가 깊은 ‘모사드’ 출신 비밀 요원 ‘애브너(에릭 바나)’를 리더로 도주, 폭발물, 문서위조, 뒷처리를 담당하는 전문가들로 암살팀을 구성한다. 뮌헨 사건의 배후 인물로 지목된 팔레스타인인은 모두 11명. 이스라엘 비밀 요원들은 이들을 한 명씩 찾아내 치밀한 복수를 시작한다. 하지만 그들은 목표물을 제거할수록 조국의 임무와 복수의 정당성 사이에서 고민하기 시작하고, 살인에 대한 죄책감을 느낀다. 동시에 자신들 또한 누군지 모르는 암살팀의 표적으로 쫓기게 되는 아이러니한 상황에 빠져든다. 애브너와 비밀 요원들은 점점 더 큰 두려움과 죄책감에 사로잡혀가는데….

Willi is 18 years old and lives on the street. Without a goal in his life he walks around the city and meets several people, helping but also cheating him. When he meets a girl, Monica, he realizes that there are people out there whose lives are even more desperate than his. So he's trying to help her (and him) by planning a great robbery on a supermarket's money transporter.

2차 세계대전 후 독일, 독일계 미국인 청년 레오폴트 케슬러(장 마크 바)는 전쟁이 끝나자 독일로 돌아온다. 큰아버지(에른스트 휴고 예어가르트)의 소개로 철도 침대칸에서 일하게 된 레오폴트. 그는 우연히 철도회사 사장(유도 키에르) 딸 카타리나(바바라 수코와)와 만나 사랑에 빠지고 결혼하기에 이른다. 그러나 연합군의 지배아래 독일 테러리스트 집단과 연합군의 대립이 격해지자, 레오폴트는 미국장교로부터는 독일의 정보를 캐오라는 요구를, 독일 테러리스트 집단으로부터는 기차를 폭파하라는 지시를 받는다. 레오폴트는 아무 것도 하지 못한 채 테러 집단의 일원이었던 아내로부터도 방관자라는 말을 듣는다. 평범하고 선량하게 살려는 의지가 흔들리기 시작하는 레오폴트. 정신분열을 일으키던 그는 스스로 죽음을 맞이한다.

Editor Eckernförde has come into the possession of an audiocassette that contains a recording of the last minutes of deceased politician Uwe Barschel. The circumstances of his untimely death have never been completely resolved - until now. Unfortunately, the editor's daughter Nina accidentally takes the tape with her to Munich, where she is about to visit her paralyzed Mom in a sanatorium. When this information reaches the CIA and the BND, both organizations compete to get hold of the tape. Meanwhile Erkan & Stefan, two loveable wannabe supercheckers from Munich, are assigned as bodyguards for Nina - of course, they are expected to mess up their job, so that the tape can be retrieved. But the two friends prove to be a bit more streetwise than CIA or BND ever expected.

When dishwasher Ingo, whose girl-friend has just left him, returns a borrowed bar stool to the Folkwang Acting School in Essen, he stumbles into the audition for next year's new students. He lets Johannes, the broke and unsuccessful applicant, stay with him. Ingo decides to go to Munich with Johannes, where he wants to try his luck once again. Hitchhiking, they get rides with very different drivers on the autobahn. They meet up with the smooth-talking Ali in the wayside dinner "Raststätte Spessart". Arriving in Munich, the trio tries to find cheap sleeping accommodation. They enter Ingo into the audition at Munich acting school.
