Death by Misadventure: The Mysterious Life of Bruce Lee exposes the truth behind Lee's death and the cover-up that ensued.
Ah Lung is a pig farmer and a devoted Bruce Lee fan who is anxious to follow in Lee's footsteps, but only ridiculed for his attempts. He is sent to the city to earn a living working at his uncle's restaurant, but when he arrives, he finds a gang of thugs causing trouble in the restaurant. He takes the chance to prove himself and attacks the thugs, defeating them and saving the restaurant. Soon, he becomes a waiter, and discovers a plot by the same thugs to kidnap a woman he works with. Eventually, he defeats the thugs once again and saves the day.
브루스 리는 가문 대대로 내려오는 악귀의 저주를 물리치기 위해 아버지의 권유로 무술을 배우지만, 미국 병사를 폭행하고는 미국으로 가 샌프란시스코에 정착한다. 중국인 식당에서 요리사로 일하던 중 여자 문제로 싸움을 벌여 해고되자, 해고 수당으로 대학에 진학한다. 그는 우연히 체육관에서 시비 끝에 알게 된 백인들에게 무술을 가르치게되고, 여기에서 만난 린다와 사랑에 빠져 결혼하기에 이른다. 생계를 위한 수단으로 도장을 운영하던 그는 서양인에게 무술을 가르치지 말라는 미국 내 중국 무술인의 압력을 받고, 자신의 정당성을 인정받기 위해 그들과 결투를 벌인다. 그러나, 브루스 리는 대결 도중 척추를 다쳐 전신마비가 되지만 린다의 극진한 간호로 회복한다. 그리고 자신이 창안한 절권도의 홍보를 위해 선 브러더스와 재결투를 하여 승리하는데, 이를 계기로 TV 영화에 출연, 영화 스타로의 길에 들어서게 된다. 그의 독특한 무술은 인기를 얻기 시작하고 헐리웃으로부터 관심을 끌게 된다. 그러면서 영화에 출연하게 되고, 명성을 얻으면서 홍콩으로 와 금의환향하게 된다. 홍콩의 영화제작자들은 그를 영화에 출연할 것을 제의하여 세계의 화재를 남겼으며 신화적인 인물로 남게 되는 를 제작하게 된다. 그러나 안타깝게도 개봉 3일전에 운명을 달리한다.

고려 무덕관을 상해에 세운 이관장은 중국십팔계 장관장과 뜻을 모아 항일 동지회를 구성한다. 일본군 특무대 소좌 하라다관장은 항일동지회를 없애려고 계획한다. 한중동지회에 참석차 가던 이소룡의 아버지인 이관장이 사무라이의 칼에 쓰러진다. 이소룡은 일본도장을 습격해 사범인 무라다와 많은 제자들을 쳐부순다. 이 사건으로 하라다는 이소룡을 중국 치안대에 처치해 줄 것을 부탁한다. 치안대의 성룡은 한중동지회에 자금을 대는 황백선이 테러를 당하지 않고 하라다와 가까이 지내는 것을 수상히 여긴다. 하라다는 부하들에게 이소룡과 성룡을 없애라고 지시한다. 하라다는 갖은 술책으로 성룡과 이소룡을 죽이려 하지만 두사람의 활약에 사무라이들이 낙엽처럼 떨어진다. 사태가 불리함에 도망치는 하라다를 이소룡의 분노는 하라다의 몸을 나무토막처럼 쓰러뜨린다.
The new police chief (Bruce Li) arrives in a small provincial town. He's been charged with bringing a dangerous gang to justice. But within seconds, the chief provokes a showdown with his lazy deputies. Realizing that they are not up to the job, he enlists the help of some of his prisoners, offering pardons to those who survive the encounter with the gang. These include a widower (Wang Yung Sheng), imprisoned for killing the men who murdered his wife, a knife-throwing expert (Lung Fei) also doing time for the murder of a corrupt magistrate, a pickpocket, and a young orphan girl out to avenge her parents' death. The chief reveals his coldblooded dedication to the mission when he hangs one prisoner for trying to escape. The group - both prisoners and police - ultimately bond together and track down the gang's headquarters to find the leader (Chen Hsing). After a long and bloody melee, everyone lies dead except the chief.
