제이미와 리사 부부는 발신자 불명의 묘한 인형을 선물 받는다. 그리고 아내 리사는 입이 도려내지고 혀가 잘려진 처참한 시신으로 발견된다. 충격을 받은 제이미는 오히려 아내 살인 용의자로 몰리지만 증거가 부족하여 풀려난 뒤 불길한 인형이 보내진 곳이 자신의 고향인 레이븐스 페어라는 것을 발견하고 그곳으로 향한다. 형사 짐은 제이미를 범인이라 굳게 믿고 제이미를 미행한다. 짐과 제이미는 이미 미치광이 복화술사 메리 쇼의 저주로 폐허가 되어가고 있는 마을의 피로 물들었던 과거와 소름 끼치는 저주를 마주하게 되는데...

할로윈이 다가오고 있던 어느 날, 단짝 ‘소니’와 ‘샘’은 으스스한 분위기의 버려진 집을 발견한다. 그곳에서 자물쇠로 잠겨있는 [구스범스] 책을 찾아낸 소니와 샘은 함부로 자물쇠를 열고, 심술궂은 인형 슬래피를 깨우고야 만다. 몬스터 군단의 리더 슬래피는 책 속에 갇혀있던 몬스터들을 하나, 둘씩 불러들이고 평온했던 마을은 어느새 위험에 빠지기 시작한다. 게다가 기상천외한 몬스터들의 습격으로 소니의 엄마 ‘케이시’까지 납치당하자, 소니의 누나 ‘세라’까지 합류해 엄마와 마을을 구하기 위해 나선다. 다시 깨어난 몬스터들의 습격으로 엉망진창이 된 할로윈, 위험에 빠진 가족과 마을을 구할 수 있을까?

클럽의 밤무대를 전전하며 카드 마술과 인형을 들고 복화술을 선보이고 있는 코키는 에이전트의 눈에 띄어 방송사의 스카우트 제의를 받는다. 들뜬 마음으로 뉴욕에 도착하지만 방송사에서 건강 진단서를 요구하는 바람에 일이 틀어지고 만다. 코키는 인형 패츠에게 자신의 또다른 자아를 이입시키는 다중 성격 장애자 였던 것이다. 건강 검진을 거부하고 고향으로 돌아간 코키는 어렸을 적 짝사랑인 패기 집에 머무르게 되는데...

별장 대축을 의뢰받은 건축가가 별장에서 사람들을 만나고 5개의 에피소드를 듣으면서 이상한 느낌에 싸인다. 전에 자신이 이곳에 왔었다는 생각을 갖게 되는데, 이런 것을 꿈이나 무의식적 경험에 의한 대자비 현상이라고 한다. 이런 현실과 환상, 혼령이 살아나고 인형이 살아나는 아주 독특한 공포적 초현실적인 이야기를 담고 있다.
