A former valedictorian quits her reporter job in New York and returns to the place she last felt happy: her childhood home in Connecticut. She gets work as a lifeguard and starts a dangerous relationship with a troubled teenager.

한 가정의 평범한 가장이자 고등학교 음악 교사인 키이스(가이 피어스). 맨해튼 심포니의 서브 첼리스트로 가끔씩 무대에 서는 것이 삶의 낙인 그는, 가난했지만 하고 싶은 음악을 하며 행복했던 젊은 시절을 떠올리곤 한다. 여름이 끝나고 가을에 접어들 무렵, 그의 집으로 영국에서 온 교환학생 소피(펠리시티 존스)가 찾아 온다. 소피의 피아노 연주를 들은 키이스는 자신도 모르게 휘몰아치는 감정에 사로잡히고, 소피 역시 예술적 재능과 감수성이 풍부한 키이스에게 남다른 친밀감을 느낀다. 소피는 키이스의 자유롭고도 충동적인 성향을 자극하기 시작하고, 이들은 점점 서로에게 강렬하게 빠져든다. 하지만 서로를 향한 열망이 커져 갈수록, 키이스와 소피를 둘러싼 이들의 삶에 조금씩 균열이 일기 시작하는데…

After the sudden death of her father leaves a teenage girl without a family, she becomes lost in her own anger and sadness. Her family doctor (Daryl Hannah) informs her that her father had a secret, that the mother she never knew (Claire Forlani) was alive and well. When she travels to meet her, she befriends a horse trainer (Louis Gossett Jr) and discovers that in caring for the horse, she is able to overcome her hardships and emotional trauma. Together they begin to win many races and upset the favorites, owned by an egocentric mogul (Eric Roberts). Through the victories and new friendships she forms, she learns to find her way back to happiness.

Lovely NHK TV show featuring friends Masami Nagasawa and Asami Mizukawa travelling by bicycle through Hawaii. Beautiful nature views of the island on this cute program aired back in 2009. Masami does not look nature friendly at all, cleaning and carefully examining vegetables and fruit before having a bite. But she looks very cute with long hair. Asami looks like someone I would like to be friends with, she is fun and loud and not as afraid of trying new things as Masami. Hawaii seen like this looks like paradise, especially the sunshine from the top of the mountain.
