성 소수자 상담 센터에서 봉사하는 사이먼은 대니라는 남자의 전화를 받는다. 대니는 자신이 곧 사람들 세 명을 죽인 후에 자살할 거라고 하고, 왜 그런 결정을 내리게 됐는지 자초지종을 설명하기 시작한다. 대니는 실리콘밸리로 이사 온 후에 카일과 사귀게 되었고, 카일의 친구들이자 상사들인 게이 부부 랜스와 크리스찬도 만나게 되었다. 그 후, 대니는 랜스와 크리스찬은 포르노 웹사이트를 운영하며, 카일은 그 웹사이트의 서버를 관리해주는 일을 한다는 사실을 알게 되었다. 또한 대니는 랜스와 크리스찬이 이 업계에 발을 담그게 된 계기를 준 포르노 제작자 포레스트도 만났다. 포레스트는 대니한테도 포르노 출연을 제안했지만, 대니는 수락할 생각이 없었다. 결국 랜스와 크리스찬은 카일을 협박해서 대니한테 약을 먹이게 하고, 무의식 상태인 대니를 강간하는 동영상을 찍은 후 자신들의 새로운 다크웹 웹사이트에 올렸다. 대니는 이 동영상을 발견하고 충격을 받았다. 대니는 사이먼한테 이메일로 그 웹사이트와 랜스, 크리스찬, 포레스트의 사업에 관한 불법 자료들을 보내준다. 사이먼의 동료가 경찰에 신고해서 경찰은 대니의 위치를 추적하지만, 결국 수화기 너머로 총소리가 들린다. 그런데 총으로 자살한 건 바로 카일이었고, 대니는 그날 오후에 이미 목을 매서 자살한 상태였다. 카일이 죄책감에 대니를 대변해서 사이먼한테 진실을 밝힌 것이다. 경찰은 카일이 준 자료 덕분에 랜스, 크리스찬과 포레스트가 취조를 받게 될 거라고 하지만, 사이먼은 카일과 대니의 죽음을 안타까워한다.
