천신만고 끝에 콜로라도에 수박밭을 가지고 수확을 시작한 빈스(Vince Majestyk: 찰스 브론슨 분), 마제스틱이 처절한 폭력과 위험한 세계에 말려들게 된 것은 노동자들을 착취하여 이익을 얻는 업자를 형무소에 집어넣고부터이다. 그와 살인 청부업자 프랭크 랜다(Frank Renda: 알 레티에리 분)를 태워 병원으로 향하던 버스가 프랭크의 수술을 노린 일당에게 공격 당한다. 경찰과의 격렬한 총격전으로 혼잡한 틈을 타 마제스틱은 수갑찬 흉악범 렌다를 인질로 삼아 도망친다. 렌다를 넘겨주는 대신 자신의 기소 취하를 경찰에게 제의한다. 그러나 틈을 타 도주한 랜다는 마제스틱에게 복수를 다짐하고 마제스틱도 랜드가 보복하리라는 것을 알고 먼저 죽이려 한다.
