시놉시스
Tenei village is located in Fukushima prefecture's beautiful surrounds. It is 70 kilometers away from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. When the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant failed in March 2011, radioactive particles fell and contaminated the rice fields. But the farmers couldn't just abandon their land as they live on the land and wanted to protect it for future generations. The farmers decided to pursue scientific methods to secure food safety. They were on their own without Government assistance. This film documents their determination and efforts in overcoming an environmental crisis that had never been experienced before.
일본의 전국시대. 주민들은 황폐한 땅에서 어렵게 수확한 식량으로 한해 한해를 넘기는 빈촌에 살고 있다. 이 빈촌엔 보리 수확이 끝날 무렵이면 어김없이 산적들이 찾아와 모든 식량을 모조리 약탈해 간다. 싸워도 애원해도 소용이 없었다. 가만히 있을 수만은 없던 촌장의 결단으로 사무라이들을 모집하는데, 이들은 풍부한 전쟁 경험을 가진 시마다 칸베에를 포함한 7명이었다. 시마다의 지휘하에 마을은 방위태세를 갖추고 전투훈련도 시작한다. 이윽고 산적들의 공격이 시작되어 치열한 사투가 벌어진다.
시골에서 아이를 키우며 정답게 살아가던 부부. 그러나 남편은 도시에서 온 화려한 여자에게 마음을 빼앗기고 그 여자의 유혹에 넘어가 아내를 죽이려 한다. 하지만 아내는 기차를 타고 도망가고 남편은 아내를 죽이려 했다는 것을 후회하며 아내를 따라 기차에 오른다. 어쩔 수 없이 기차를 타고 도시에 도착한 부부. 도시에서 다시 한번 두 사람의 사랑을 깨닫고 다시 집으로 돌아오는데...
세계 제3차 대전이 발발한다. 파리의 오를레이 공항에 있는 한 산책로에서 다보스 헨릭이라는 남자가 헬렌 카텔린이란 여자를 바라보는데 원자 폭탄이 폭발한다. 그 후 영화는 핵 쓰레기로 가득찬 지상을 떠나 사람들의 지하 생활을 보여준다. 지하 생활자들은 더 이상의 파괴를 막기 위해 '과거와 미래를 오갈 수 있는' 약을 가지고 과거와 미래 세계의 사람들을 보내지만 결국 다보스 만이 성공한다.
