There's gonna be a hot time in the old town tonight! It's summer in Mississippi during the Roaring Twenties and temperatures are running hot. Take a young black man seeking revenge, mix with a crooked sheriff, country girls feeling the heat of sexual desire, and a passel of local good ol' boys who don't stand for any "mixin' of the races", and you've got a sure fire recipe for disaster.
