원인불명의 병으로 어머니가 죽은 후, 아버지는 일자리를 찾아 잠시 집을 비운다. 그런데 덩그러니 4명의 아이들이 남겨진 집에 이미 떠난 엄마가 방문한다. 하지만 반가움도 잠시 아이들은 엄마가 자신들을 어딘가로 데려가기 위해 왔다는 사실을 눈치채게 되는데...

부모의 얼굴도 모른 채 자라난 마야는 자신이 태어났고 오래 전 떠나온 마을의 낡은 저택을 상속받을 지도 모른다는 사실을 알게 된다. 마야는 친구 디니와 함께 고향을 찾아가고, 자신의 정체와 목적을 숨긴 채 저택의 비밀을 알아내기 위해 마을사람들을 탐문한다. 하지만 점차 정체가 드러나면서 둘은 끔찍한 죽음을 당할 위험에 맞닥뜨린다. 오랜 세월 동안 마을을 괴롭혀 온 저주는 무엇이며, 과연 마야는 어떻게 위험에서 벗어날 수 있을까?

Animated short. Abstract forms in a setting evocative of a concentration camp created by the universe. Based on a series of paintings by the Polish artists and filmmaker Walerian Borowczyk, Les Jeux des Anges takes the viewer into a nightmarish and sinister labyrinth world. With images reminiscent of Bosch and Ernst and an abstract soundtrack the film evoke unspeakable horrors lurking at the heart Borowczyk's masterpiece. Borowczyk described the film himself as "A report on the city of angels."

It was an era of psychological blowback from the sudden, shocking death of his wife in 1964, an era that had produced the cut-up ‘condensed novels’ of Atrocity plus a series of strange collages and ‘advertisers’ announcements’. […] After Freud’s exploration within the psyche it is now the outer world of reality which must be quantified and eroticised.’ Later there were further literary experiments, concrete poems and ‘impressionistic’ film reviews, and an aborted multimedia theatrical play based around car crashes.
