시놉시스
히토미(타카코 토키와 분)는 홍콩의 일류 호텔에서 일하는 타츠야(장국영 분)와 결혼을 앞두고 홍콩에서의 생활을 위해 광동어를 배우고 있다. 어느 날 수업을 마친 히토미를 태운 타츠야의 차가 큰 교통사고를 당하고, 히토미 혼자만 살아 남는다. 수개월 후 타츠야와 살기로 했던 홍콩을 혼자 방문한 히토미는 그가 일했던 호텔 로비에서 타츠야를 그대로 닮은 남자를 보게 된다. 그는 히토미와 시선이 마주치자 그녀를 세게 끌어안으며 키스를 해온다. 남자의 이름은 가보(장국영 분). 홍콩의 비밀 경찰인 가보는 그 호텔에서 대만의 마피아와 접촉 중이었는데, 경찰의 눈을 피하기 위해 히토미를 끌어안았던 것. 그러한 사정을 알지 못하는 히토미는 죽은 연인과 닮은 그를 필사적으로 찾는다. 겨우 가보와 재회한 히토미는 그의 아파트까지 함께 가지만 타츠야와 다른 가보의 거친 모습에 당황하고 만다. 다음날 가보는 경찰과 마약조직의 충돌로 부상을 입은 채 히토미의 아파트에 찾아가 쓰러진다. 정신을 차린 그의 눈앞에는 자신과 너무나 닮은 남자의 사진이 있다. 가보는 6년 전 죽은 자신의 연인을 떠올리며 히토미의 상처를 어렴풋이 이해하게 된다. 어느 날 히토미는 단 하루만 타츠야가 되어 달라고 그에게 부탁한다. 영화관, 레스토랑, 빅토리아 파크. 타츠야와 약속했던 장소들을 함께 다니며 조금씩 가까워지는 두 사람. 자신의 마음이 끌리는 것이 눈 앞에 있는 가보인지, 아니면 타츠야의 환영인지 알 수 없었던 히토미는 크게 동요하는데.
