Harem 2000 (1999)

While attempting to interview an elusive gangster, photojournalist Emanuelle notices a man pushing a girl in a wheelchair through the airport. Later, in another country she sees the same man and the girl up and walking. Intrigued, she does a bit of investigating and uncovers an organization dealing in the buying and selling of young women. She goes undercover into the organization but finds that getting out again could cost her her career...and her life.

벚꽃이 흩날리는 3월 25일, 종업식 날의 오후. 고등학교 2학년인 아라라기 코요미는 자신과 같은 학교에 다니는 우등생 하네카와 츠바사와 조우한다. 하네카와로부터 ‘이 마을에 흡혈귀가 있다’는 소문을 듣게 된 코요미. 그날 밤, 거리에 나온 코요미는 지하철 승강장에서 피에 젖은 상태로 사지를 잃고 필사적으로 도움을 청하는 여자와 만난다. 그 여자는 하네카와가 말한 것처럼 금발 머리에 아름다웠고… 등줄기가 얼어붙을 정도로 차가운 눈을 갖고 있었다.

세계를 붕괴시킨다는 '마왕인자'를 가진 마왕후보 '카스가 아라타'는 트리니티세븐의 한 명인 아사미 리리스와 함께 유적을 조사하고 있었다. 갑작스레 날아가게 된 곳은 세계의 모든 지혜를 관장하는 곳, '천공 도서관'이었다. 그 곳에 붉은 벼락과 함께 아라타와 닮은 진홍의 마왕, 어비스 트리니티가 나타나는데. 그는 마왕을 멸망시키기 위한 마왕이자, 막강한 힘의 소유자로 오랫동안 천공 도서관에 봉인돼 있었다. 아라타의 마왕인자에 반응해 봉인이 풀린 그는 마왕으로서의 힘을 되찾고 세계를 멸망시키겠다고 하는데, 그 열쇠가 되는 것이 그의 딸 리리스였다. 아비스의 위험한 힘에 사로잡힌 리리스를 구하고 최강인 마왕을 쓰러뜨리기 위해 아라타는 마왕 병기를 찾지만, 그것을 사용하면 사람으로서의 마음을 잃고 완전한 마왕이 되어버린다는데. 아라타에게 역대 최고의 위기가 찾아온다!

This film finds Angélique in a North African Muslim kingdom where she is now part of the Sultan's harem. The first part of the film consist of her angrily refusing to be bedded as well as their trying to literally beat some sense into her. It all seems to go on too long and I was surprised that the Sultan simply didn't have her killed. Late in the film, she finally decides to escape with the help of two Christian prisoners.

When she is later found feasting on the family cat the doctor becomes convinced vampirism is at work, and that its focus is Count Yorga and his large isolated house.

Baron von Münchhausen (1720-97) was an eccentric figure in European history, whose tall tales about his adventures rival anything to be found in the legends of Paul Bunyan or classic figures like Odysseus. This film recounts some of the episodes from the Baron’s sensational stories, which are set in the world of the 18th century.
