시놉시스

Mummifamilien har ligget i vinterdvale i flere måneder og drømt om sol og sommer. Men så kommer en hemul på besøk – og vekker dem for å fortelle at julen er her! Men ingen i Mummifamilien har hørt om julen før. “Hvem er julen?” spør de. Ingen har tid til å fortelle dem hvem julen er, men de skjønner at de må ha både juletre og mat. Mummitrollet, Mummimamma og Mummipappa lager i stand massevis av deilig mat og pynter juletreet vidunderlig vakkert. Og så kommer det uventet noen på besøk.

In La Paz -as opposed to many other cities- the rich live below, which is the Southern District. Life goes on without major mishaps in a large house surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is a wonderful world, a great bubble of comfort, where different personal spheres coexist: the mother, along with her three children and the Aymara inhabitants of the house. The drama surfaces slowly, without narrative ploys, observing day-to-day activities until internal and external forces make the bubble burst. The film relates the story of the final days of an upper-class family, at a time when the country is undergoing social changes.

섹스, 거짓말, 그리고 비디오테이프

존(피터 갤러거)과 앤(앤디 맥도웰)은 겉보기엔 남부러울 것 없는 부부지만, 존은 처제와 불륜 관계에 있고, 앤은 정신과 상담을 받고 있다. 어느 날 존의 친구 그레이엄(제임스 스페이더)이 집으로 찾아온다. 앤은 스스로 성불구이며 다른 사람이 있으면 성행위를 할 수 없다는 그레이엄의 고백에 놀라는 한편 매혹당한다. 얼마 후 앤은 그레이엄의 집에 우연히 들렸다가 여자들의 이름이 쓰인 비디오 테이프를 발견한다. 테이프들은 그레이엄이 여자들의 성경험을 인터뷰하여 만든 것. 결국 앤도 존과의 관계를 비디오 테이프에 담으면서 그들의 삶은 돌이킬 수 없는 파탄의 길로 빠져드는데...
