My Father Was Right (1936)

A young woman, and her last memories of the five people who loved her most, recalled while experiencing a catastrophic event.

This is a non-narrative film, comprised of shots that "portray a certain young man in the terms of the things that he likes", such as the flow of the tide on a seashore, the motion of finely-tuned machinery, and sunlight shining through the fronds of a palm.

음료수 공장에서 일하는 허관걸은 상사에게 작업능력이 영 신통치 못하다는 이유로 짤리게 된다. 이후 허관걸은 일거리를 찾아 돌아다니다가 우연히 사립탐정 허관문의 구인광고를 보고 먼저 들어온 허관영과 함께 탐정조수로 일하게 되면서 각종 애피소드를 겪게 된다. 이 작품은 1990년에 신반근팔량으로 리메이크되었다
