In My Country (2017)

1994년 르완다 수도 키갈리. 후투족 출신 대통령이 두 부족의 공존을 위해 평화 협정에 동의하면서 수십 년간 이어진 후투족과 투치족의 대립은 일단락되는 듯 했다. 평화 협정의 진행을 돕기 위해 UN군이 파견되었고, 수많은 외신 기자들이 이 역사적인 사건을 취재하기 위해 르완다로 몰려들었다. 르완다의 최고급 호텔 밀 콜린스의 호텔 지배인인 폴 루세사바기나(돈 치들)는 평화 협정과 관련하여 밀려드는 취재 기자와 외교관들 때문에 바쁜 나날을 보내고 있다. 사랑 받는 가장이자 지배인으로서 행복한 삶을 살아가는 폴은 하루빨리 르완다가 안정되기를 바란다. 하지만 대통령이 암살당하면서 르완다의 상황은 악화되기 시작하는데...

1921년 이집트의 유적발굴 현장에서 미이라 하나가 발견된다. 그것은 신성모독을 이유로 사형선고를 받고 생매장되었던 이집트 왕자 이모텝의 미이라였다. 또한 그의 무덤에서는 죽은 사람을 부활시키는 주문이 적힌 토드신의 두루마리도 함께 발견된다. 어느날 밤 발굴단원 중 한 젊은이가 호기심을 이기지 못하고 두루마리의 내용을 낭독하게 되고, 그로 인해 자신이 이모텝을 부활시켰음을 알게 되면서 정신착란을 일으키고 만다. 10년 후, 이모텝의 미이라는 보통의 이집트 사람처럼 분장한 채 살아가고 있다. 그는 고대에 자신의 연인이었던 아낙수나문 공주와 만나려 하고 있었는데, 그녀는 현재 아름다운 여인으로 환생해 있었다.
