거대한 컴퓨터 게임회사 부사장 딜리건은 천재 프로그래머 플린의 아이디어를 훔쳐 오늘날의 지위를 얻어낸 음흉한 자이나 그를 돕는 메인 컴퓨터의 고성능 기능으로 전체 군주로 군림한다. 그러나 이에 의혹을 품은 젊은 프로그래머 알렌은 정보를 얻어내기 위해 제작한 프로그램 트론을 메인 컴퓨터가 삼켜버리자 플린에게 도움을 요청한다. 그러나 정보에 접근하려던 플린마저 컴퓨터에 먹혀버리고 컴퓨터 세계로. 플린은 프로그래머들이 만든 프로그램들이 사람처럼 간주되어 죽음의 경기를 펼치고 있음을 보게된다. 플린은 이 컴퓨터 세계에서 최고의 전사로 되어있는 트론과 힘을 합쳐 딜리건의 메인 통제 컴퓨터와 전쟁을 벌인다. 치열한 컴퓨터 전쟁끝에 메인통계 컴퓨터를 부수고 딜기건의 흉악한 음모를 밝혀낸다.

The Other Side of Fear signifies the actions which incite religious violence and broaden the divide of cultural and moral beliefs in society. The film shadows two clashing perspectives both of which are searching for safety in their own communities and these perspectives blend testimonies of trauma and manifestos of power. By using poetic documentation, the director acknowledges that there are more than two sides to every story and intertwines these sentiments, embodiments and experiences into one journey to understand what is happening behind the doors of communities the other hasn’t experienced.

가까운 어느 미래, 말론 베이트는 인간과 구별이 어려운 휴머노이드 개발에 성공한다. 그리고 휴머노이드와 인간이 아무런 제한 없이 교류하는 '414 구역'을 통해 막대한 부와 함께 자신만의 거대한 제국을 형성한다. 그러던 어느 날, 말론의 딸 멜리사가 로봇 도시 '존 414'에서 사라지고, 말론은 형 조셉의 테스트를 통해 사립탐정 데이빗 카마이클을 고용한다. 말론은 데이빗에게 200만 파운드의 거금을 약속하며 '존 414'에서 제인과 함께 3주 전에 실종된 멜리사를 찾으라고 말한다. 데이빗은 멜리사 찾는 걸 도와주는 조건으로 제인을 스토킹 하고 협박하는 괴한을 찾아주겠다고 약속한다. 그 후 데이빗은 제인의 안내로 휴머노이드를 관리하는 여인 로얄로부터 조지를 찾아가라는 말을 듣게 된다. 휴머노이드의 고통을 즐기는 조지는 멜리사가 있는 곳을 말하는 조건으로 제인과의 시간을 달라고 요청한다. 분노한 제인은 날카로운 유리로 조지를 협박해 멜리사가 있는 곳을 알아낸다. 보트 야드에 도착한 데이빗은 목 매달린 채 죽은 멜리사의 시신을 발견하게 되는데...
