Due to a possible cholera epidemic onboard, passengers on a ship are forced to disembark at Pago Pago, a small village on a Pacific island where it incessantly rains. When a Japanese soldier is taken as their prisoner, the true colours of each man comes to the surface

In a small Japanese town, Ko-Ko is appointed to the unenviable position of executioner.
