A cookbook literary agent with culinary training is tasked with helping elevate the brand of a food channel personality known for his convenience-oriented recipes. However, as the agent works with her client on a new cookbook, playfully clashing over everything from ingredients to tastes, she must choose between following the directions or her heart.

어린 시절, 토네이도로 부모님을 잃은 에이프릴은 20여 년이 흐른 현재, 토네이도를 추적하고 연구하는 대학교수이자 학자가 되어 있다. 부모의 죽음을 눈앞에서 목격한 비극적 과거에서 헤어나지 못하는 그녀와 달리, 경찰이 된 동생 션은 평범하게 살아간다.
어느 날, 에이프릴은 딸, 데이나와 함께 시애틀의 동생 집을 방문한다. 그런데 토네이도가 발생할 수 없는 북서 태평양 연안에, 마치 그녀를 따라온 악령처럼 토네이도가 연속으로 발생하자, 대학 진학을 앞둔 딸을 위해 캠퍼스를 견학하자는 애초의 목적은 간 데 없고, 에이프릴은 옛 연인이자 현지 기상캐스터인 트라비스와 함께 스톰을 뒤쫓으며 기상 특보 방송을 돕느라 정신이 없다.
한편 엄마의 부재에 심기가 뒤틀린 데이나는 동네 건달, 라이언의 유혹에 빠져 큰일을 당할 위기에 처한다. 딸의 실종 소식을 듣고 폭풍 속에 딸을 찾아나선 에이프릴 일행은 토네이도가 덮치기 일보 직전, 딸을 구하고 모두 무사히 폭풍을 피한다. 특징예기치 못한 장소에서 발생하는 토네이도를 소재로 한 재난 영화로, 같은 소재의 와 유사하다는 평. 토네이도의 악령이 주인공을 따라 다니는 듯한 설정은 가는 곳마다 식인상어가 출몰하는 를 연상케 한다. 미국 케이블 TV의 여성 채널로 유명한 라이프타임 네트워크에서 첫 방영된 작품. (KBS)
When Chris Murdoch falls obsessively in love with a Japanese girl attending University in Seattle (Kaori Ozaki) he murders Japanese men who have shown her kindness under the pretext of revenge for the attack on Pearl Harbor during WWII. However the ruse involves the FBI in the case, and Agent Sara Daniels. However, the investigation is hampered when Yoko Sugimura of the Tokyo Police arrives to take Kaori back to her influential father. Despite their initial dislike, Sara and Yoko are forced to work together to stop Chris when his obsession is manifest with high explosives.

컴퓨터 보안 전문가 잭 스탠필드(해리슨 포드)는 랜드락 퍼시픽 은행 최고 중역급 간부. 그는 첨단 네트워크 추적장치와 코드, 방화벽으로 무장된 금융업계 최고의 해킹 방지 시스템을 구축해 나날이 지능화되어 가는 해커들의 끊임없는 위협으로부터 은행을 지킨다.
그러나, 철통 같은 잭의 보안 시스템에도 약점이 있었으니, 그건 바로 잭 자신이었다.
어느 날, 그 약점을 노리고 냉혈한 빌 콕스(폴 베타니)가 접근한다. 빌은 잭과 잭의 가족을 1년 동안 감시하며 개인적인 정보를 모두 파악해놓은 상태. 아이들 친구들의 이름은 물론, 병원 진료 기록, 보안 회사와의 암호까지, 잭과 그 주변의 일은 손바닥 들여다보듯 훤히 꿰게 된 빌은 대담한 한탕 음모를 실행에 옮기기 시작한다.
하이테크 회사의 시애틀 지사장인 톰 샌더스는 부사장이 되리란 기대에 부풀어 있다. 그러나 의외로 존슨이란 여자가 부사장으로 부임되어 온다. 존슨은 과거 샌더스와 연인 사이였다. 그러던 어느날 늦은 오후 존슨은 샌더스를 자신의 사무실로 부른다. 존슨의 사무실로 간 샌더스는 자신을 단순히 일 때문에 부른 것이 아니란 것을 눈치챈다. 존슨은 그를 유혹했고, 거의 그녀의 유혹에 넘어갈 뻔한 샌더스는 겨우 그녀에게서 벗어난다. 그러나 다음날 오히려 존슨이 샌더스에게 성희롱을 당했다고 고소를 했다는 것을 알게 된다. 경영진들은 당연히 남자가 여자를 성희롱했을 거란 생각과 함께 존슨의 지위와 주장을 옹호한다. 존슨 때문에 샌더스의 삶은 엉망이 된다. 평소 아무렇지도 않았던 다른 동료들 조차도 그에게 거리를 둔다. 이 사건으로 인해 회사에서는 샌더스가 회사를 그만두고 다른 곳으로 갈 것을 종용하지만 샌더스는 자신의 결백을 증명하려 한다. 존슨의 사무실에서의 내용이 친구의 전화에 녹음됨으로써 존슨과의 사건은 마무리 되었으나 무언가 이상함을 느낀다. 그리고 어느 순간부터 그에게 배달되는 이메일. 그 이메일을 단서로 해서 샌더스는 이 모든 음모가 자신을 회사에서 내쫓으려는 음모임을 알아내는데...
