Mexican band Cafe Tacuba celebrates 15 years of making--and often revolutionizing--Spanish rock with Un Viaje. This lush, luxurious live set includes three discs of music and one electrifying DVD. The group has culled the best moments from a two-night stand in Oct. 2004 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, and the results are consistently electric. Every song, every rhythm, every guitar lick, every laugh is important, a not-to-be-missed moment. Cafe Tacuba's potent mix of music and message is a powerful thing, and the group thrives in its unflinchingly earnest, sweetly sincere approach to its art. Even during backstage interviews and recording studio hijinks, each member seems wholly pleased to be a part of the process. 미구엘은 멕시코의 자랑인 에르네스토 델라 크루즈 같은 뮤지션이 되길 꿈꾸지만 미구엘 집안 사람들에게 음악은 금기다. 먼 옛날 조상 중에 음악 때문에 가족을 버린 인물이 있었기 때문. 미구엘은 죽은 자의 날이 되자 실력으로 인정받겠다는 결심을 하고 경연 무대에 오르려 하는데, 우연히 에르네스토의 기타에 손을 댔다가 죽은 자들의 세상에 들어서게 된다. 이승과 저승을 이어주는 마리골드 꽃길을 건너 죽은 자들의 세상에 도착한 미구엘은 거짓말과 위변조가 장기인 헥터를 만난다. 그리고 꿈에 그리던 우상 에르네스토를 만나러 가는 여정에서 가족의 비밀을 알게 된다.

멕시코, 쿠에르나바카(Cuernavaca, Mexico). 1938년 11월 1일, 죽은 자의 날(The Day Of The Dead) 세계가 요동치던 시기인 만큼 멕시코도 혼란으로 시달리고 있었다. 쿠아나바카 지방에서는 젊은 세 사람이 각자의 인생에 정열을 다하고 있었다. 정치적인 변혁을 꾀하고자 끊임없이 지식인들과 접촉을 하는 알로베는 언젠가는 맥시코가 부패하지 않은 깨끗한 정부를 갖게될 것이라고 믿고 있었다. 그의 친구인 미구엘은 자신의 출세만을 위해 기회적인 삶을 살아 가는 사람이었다. 이들 둘을 다 알면서도 어느 한 쪽도 선택할 수 없는 마리아는 두 사람이 시간이 지날 수록 어렸을 적 같이 했던 생각에서 벗어나서 판이하게 다르게 사는 것을 불안해 한다. 점점 자신들의 색갈을 뚜렷하게 해가는 이들은 결국 피할 수 없는 사건에 부딪치는데...

Vanessa, a television reporter covering a story of a farmer attacked by his chickens, discovers that this is not an isolated incident. Travelling to Spain with her cameraman Peter, the two discover the survivors of a town wiped out by the birds thirty years ago. Meanwhile, attacks continue as a child's birthday party ends in tragedy and doves devour a poultry farmer and his wife.
