In contemporary Paris, German filmmaker Tomas embraces his sexuality through a torrid love affair with a young woman named Agathe, an impulse that blurs the lines which define his relationship with his husband, Martin. When Martin begins an extramarital affair of his own, he successfully gains back his husband’s attention while simultaneously unearthing Tomas’ jealousy. Grappling with contradicting emotions, Tomas must either embrace the confines of his marriage or come to terms with the relationship having run its course.

39년을 함께한 게이커플 벤과 조지는 마침내 뉴욕 맨해튼에서 결혼식을 올린다. 하지만 행복할 것만 같았던 시간도 잠시, 꿈같은 신혼여행을 다녀온 후 조지가 고교합창단 감독직에 해고되면서 함께 살던 아파트를 팔아야만 하는 상황에 놓이게 된다. 결국 둘은 적당한 새 집을 찾기 전까지 떨어져 살게 되고, 그 와중에 벤의 건강마져 나빠져 가는데…

This beautifully-shot portrait doesn't shy away from the burdens of a young scarred woman, but it also celebrates her courage to live according to her own rules.

A story inspired by the life of one of the most remarkable figures in Brazilian popular culture, João Francisco dos Santos (1900-1976). In turn, bandit, transvestite, street fighter, brothel cook, convict and father to seven adopted children, dos Santos – better known as Madame Satã – was also a notorious gay performer who pushed social boundaries in a volatile time.

This film shows three episodes: "The First Sin" portrays the relationship of a man and married woman; in "Devilish", the desire between a young woman and her brother-in-law is shown; and in the episode "Cachorro!", a man sees his wife with her lover.
