'Nard' Di Nardo: 윙스 하우저 분)와 함께 해프너 상사는 글로리아 기지로 정찰을 나섰다. 정규 정찰이었지만 별다른 전의는 없어 길을 나선 그들 앞에는 참혹한 광경이 곳곳에 펼쳐져 있었다. 그러던 중 그들은 이상한 낌세를 눈치채, 2천명 이상의 베트콩들 속에 포위돼 버린것이다. 앞으로 닥쳐올 죽음에의 두려움이 마약과 여자에 대한 집착으로까지 변하는그들의 현실은 이제 한판 접전이 불가피한 상황으로 이어진다.
