In The Future, A Computer bug sets a new breed of armed and dangerous villains loose on an unsuspecting world. Digital game characters who govern their own destiny and with global domination at their cyber fingerprints pose the biggest threat to mankind. Our greatest hope lies with the "Techno Warriors" to capture and drag them back into the digital domain.
Upon his release from prison, Hyuk turns away his girlfriend Mina who has come to greet him. He admonishes her to forget about him. He finds a job at a pool hall but it seems trouble follows Hyuk around. He gets in the middle of a gang fight and ends up saving gang leader Ju-cheol. As a token of gratitude, Ju-cheol gives a slice of his own territory to Hyuk. Kyung-suk, Ju-cheol's right hand man, becomes threatened by Hyuk and so challenges him to a fight. The loser has to leave the area for good. Kyung-suk ends up losing the fight and he takes off for Tae-baek, a mountainous city. There, he becomes a faithful member of Kang-ho's gang and kidnaps Hyuk's former martial arts master. Ju-cheol asks Hyuk to help the martial arts master who also happens to be his friend. Hyuk returns to his hometown of Tae-baek only to find that Kyung-suk has kidnapped his old flame Mina. Hyuk, vowing vengeance, goes underground to find and rescue the two most important people in his life.
스턴트맨 출신의 강용규 감독의 본격적인 격투기 액션물. 폐광이 되어가는 한 마을, 그곳에서 광부로 일하는 혁과 노름에 빠져있는 형 빈이 있다. 믿음직한 체격과 동네의 불량스런 일을 지나치지 않는 혁은 광산에서 열심히 일하며 모험적인 청년으로 통하지만, 빈은 어느때부터인가 술과 노름에 빠져 어려운 생활을 하고 있다. 드디어 노름으로 재산을 날려 허덕이던 빈은 광산 도시를 사들여 영리를 목적으로 쓰려는 강호 일당의 협박에 못이겨 파이터로 나서게 되는데 일명 "언더그라운드"라고 불리는 특설링에서 목숨을 건 싸움을 하게된다. 바로 그곳이 강호가 직접 운영하며 도박을 이용해 돈을 갈취하는 죽음의 사각지대이다. 언더그라운드에서 싸우던 빈은 무참히 죽음을 맞이 하게되고 형의 소식을 들은 혁은 분노로 가득차며 복수의 날을 기다리는데...
제17회 황금촬영상 신인연기상(엄정화) 수상. 시인이자 8미리 영화를 습작하며 싸구려 무협소설로 생활하는 영훈(홍학표 분)은 고향 하나대와 번창하는 압구정동 사이에서 번민하는 연약한 예술가이다. 결혼 얘기를 꺼내며 부담을 주는 대학 동창 혜진(엄정화 분)과의 만남은 그런 영훈에게 권태와 속박을 줄 뿐, 오히려 영훈은 압구정동이라는 매혹의 세계로 성큼 다가선다. 어느날 자신이 만드는 8미리 소형영화의 주연배우를 찾던 영훈은 사촌 여동생 영미의 소개로 혜진을 알게 되는데, 화려한 출세를 꿈꾸는 혜진은 친구 영미의 설득으로 영화에 출연하기로 한다. 한편 압구정동 문화를 취재하던 혜진은 모델을 지도하는 현재(최민수 분)의 카리스마적인 모습에서 우유부단한 영훈과는 다른 매력을 느끼고 접근하지만 자유분방한 현재에게 버림받는다. 8미리 작업을 통해 영훈은 혜진의 시큰둥한 반응에도 아랑곳 없이 그녀에 대한 영훈의 사랑은 깊어만 간다. 그러나 영훈은 모델 오디션에서 떨어진 혜진을 위로하기 위해 CF감독인 선배 박우삼에게 혜진의 출연을 간청하고, 곧 혜진은 CF스타로 부상한다. 그러면서 혜진과 박감독의 관계는 점차 깊어지고 급기야는 영훈의 아이디어를 도용한 박감독은 혜진을 주인공으로 영화를 기획한다. 혜진과 박감독의 관계를 눈치챈 영훈은 8미리 영화필름을 찢어버리고 고향 하나대로 발길을 돌린다.
