라디오 DJ를 하고 있는 왕년의 록스타 '할리'는 평화로운 도시 데드우드에 음악 페스티벌을 준비하지만 갑작스런 기상변화로 어려움을 겪는다. 그리고 한때의 동료였던 '사이먼'은 공연을 위해 숲을 밀어버리려는 할리를 비난하며 공연을 중단할 것을 요구하고 나서지만 할리는 무시하고 공연을 강행한다. 신나게 음악을 즐기던 그들 앞에 거대한 괴물 '빅풋'이 나타나 사람들을 위협하면서 공연장을 아수라장이 된다. 도시는 일대 혼란에 휩싸이고, 정부에서는 빅풋을 잡으려고 애쓰지만 쉽지 않다. 그 와중에 할리는 빅풋을 생포하고 이용해서 돈을 벌기 위해 혈안이 되자 사이먼은 자연으로 돌려보내라고 설득하며 둘의 대립이 시작되는데...
한국계 미국인인 ‘현재’는 부유하지는 않지만 부모와 함께 행복하게 사는 평범한 10대 소녀이다. 어느 날 친구와 함께 간 술집에서 만난 한 남자에게 집에 데려다 주겠다는 꾀임에 빠져 납치를 당하게 된다. ‘현재’는 전문적으로 소녀들을 납치하는 인신매매단에 의해 미국에서 유일하게 매춘이 합법화 되어 있는 네바다 주에 있는 한 매춘굴로 끌려가게 된다. 에덴이라는 새로운 이름이 지어진 그녀는 심엄한 감시 속에 매일 생전 처음 보는 낯선 남자들에게 유린 당하는 지옥 같은 생활을 하게 된다. 몇 번의 탈출을 시도 하지만 실패하는 에덴, 어느덧 세월이 흘러 자신과 같이 끌려온 동료와 함께 이 생활에 적응을 해가기 시작한다. 인신매매단의 감시자들은 고분고분해진 에덴을 믿기 시작하고 그녀에게 자신들의 일을 시키기 시작한다. 에덴을 일단 살기 위해 그들에게 협조 하면서 감시의 느슨함을 틈타 또 다시 탈출의 기회를 노리게 되는데... 미국에서 아직도 자행되고 있는 인신매매단의 실체를 고발한 은 실제로 벌어진 사건을 바탕으로 제작 되었다.
I Am ZoZo is a psychological thriller about five young people who play with a Ouija board on Halloween and attract the attention of a malevolent demon. The film is based on real experiences with an ancient and malevolent spirit called ZoZo that attaches itself to people exclusively through Ouija boards. I Am ZoZo was shot on location on San Juan Island, WA and Seattle entirely on Kodak Super 8mm negative film stock.
In a sleepy and uneventful small town, three college students, bored and desperate to make their mark, plot a savage and merciless murder. Electing to keep a video journal to memorialize their bizarre pact, they plot in secret, devising a homemade death chamber that will allow them to see, hear, feel, and linger over their intended victim's torment and final moments of life. Then, chosen at random, a fellow student becomes this victim when she is to receive perhaps the most brutal and horrifying of all fates. The default leader of this macabre trio directs the physical and psychological terror, even as contention and hostility within the group threatens to jeopardize their twisted plan, culminating in a violent and chilling conclusion.
