(이안) 멀티플렉스 시대가 열리기 전, 원주의 극장가를 이루었던 영화관들이 다 사라지고 단관 극장으로서는 끝까지 남아있던 아카데미 극장이 마지막 상영을 하던 날을 재현한 이 영화는 극장이란 영화를 함께 한 모든 사람의 공동 자산이자 추억을 담고 나누는 교감의 공간이라는 것을 일깨운다. 이런 공감을 이끌어낸 아카데미 극장은 마침내 보존되게 되었다.
