화는 공부를 원하는 어머니의 뜻에 따라 일본으로 유학 오지만 학업에 정진하지 못하고 일본에서 취직해 생활한다. 일본에는 홍콩에서 사귄 친구 명과 장직이 있는데, 명은 출세의 야심을 품고 일본 야쿠자 보스의 여동생과 결혼한다. 장직은 명과는 달리 건실한 청년으로 실종된 여자친구를 찾기 위해 일본으로 건너왔다. 그러나 화는 장직과 함께 명의 아내가 경영하는 술집에 놀러갔다가 그곳에서 만난 철란을 좋아하게 되나 그녀는 야쿠자의 일원인 천야의 애인이다. 천야는 조직의 보스 서천 밑에서 자란 천애고아로 그는 자신을 키워준 서천을 위해 적대 조직의 두목을 살해하고 해외로 도망간다. 몇년 후 천야는 서천의 도움을 기대하고 일본으로 돌아오지만 서천은 적의 조지과 결탁해 천야를 죽이려 하고, 결국 천야는 이전의 살인증거물을 철란에게 주고 서천일당에게 죽음을 당한다. 철란은 천야의 유언을 지키기 위해 화에게 도움을 청하고 화는 단신으로 적지에 뛰어든다.

Kenny Bee works for a large Hong Kong corporation who's business practice is not exactly honorable. But he is being promoted to upper management with all its perks. Cherie Chung is a woman reporter working for Hong Kong TV station who is trying to expose the corrupt practice of the company Kenny works at. By chance they get together by being shoved into the same taxi while they're totally drunk. They again meet while grocery shopping, but they get robbed and Kenny can't go back to his home without money for the ferry. This starts a relationship between them, and from conscience, Kenny decides to expose the corruption within his company. Vivian Chow plays a secondary role as semi love triangle between Cherie and Kenny.

The story of "Sunset Paris" tells that Leslie Cheung, who plays Leslie, and Maggie Cheung, who plays Maggie, are a couple. Leslie gets an opportunity to study at the University of Paris, so he leaves Hong Kong to go abroad to pursue his ideals, but has to separate from his girlfriend Maggie for a short time. While living in Paris, Leslie meets a painter, Cherie, played by Cherie Chung, and develops a relationship with her. Things get complicated when Maggie comes to Paris on a visit and realizes that things are not the same...

홍콩경찰의 강력계 민완 형사 묘경사는 무기 밀매 거래가 있다는 정보를 듣고 급습한 현장에서 시체에 안겨있는 네살짜리 계집아이를 발견한다. 카카라는 이름의 귀여운 계집애를 피살자 이월하의 집으로 데려다 주러간 묘경사는 카카의 이모인 이설하를 알게 되어 무기 밀매와 관련된 이월하를 조사하는 동안 가까워진다. 카카는 이월하와 봉제 수출업을 하는 홍사장 사이에서 태어났다. 그러나 홍사장이 기혼자였기 때문에 카카는 사생아로 입적된 상태다. 묘경사는 홍사장의 위장 봉제업을 끈질기게 파헤쳐 그가 사실은 무기를 밀매매하고 있었다는 사실을 밝혀낸다.이에 격분한 홍사장은 여러번 묘경사를 처치하려 하지만 번번히 실패를 거듭한다. 묘경사는 계속 홍사장을 추적하다 상관의 압력으로 16년간의 형사직을 그만두게 된다. 결국 사건은 해결되어 홍사장이 체포되지만 묘경사에게 원한을 품은 부하가 끝까지 묘경사를 추적, 이설하의 집을 습격하는데...

Yuppie ad-man Leung Foon separates from his wife Ann, tries to get back together with his former girlfriend and flirts with his woman boss, but finally realizes that he was much better off where he started. SL -A comedy starring Lawerence Cheng Dan-Sui in his familiar role as a beleagured male. Leung Foon (Cheng) is having marital problems with his wife (played by Dodo Cheng). The movie shows in a humorous way how misunderstandings can lead a couple to the brink of divorce. Very entertaining. Highly recommended. 85 out of 100. Also known as The Yuppie Fantasia.

Out of the Shaw Brothers vaults comes My Darling Genie, an amiable early-eighties comedy starring the enchanting Cherie Chung. Derek Yee is Cheng, a brusque construction worker who discovers a magical umbrella on a routine dig. When the umbrella is opened and sprinkled with water, a 200 year-old genie arrives to grant the owner's wishes. As if that weren't enough, this genie happens to look like Cherie Chung! Cheng has been given a virtual ticket to Heaven, but he's more annoyed than grateful, and uses the Genie to perform mostly menial tasks.

Mak is an optimist. He is driven to despair after a series of depressing events and got himself into a car accident. Chen Li is the son of an enormously wealthy Hong Kong businessman and is vacationing in Hawaii, experiencing typical girl problems. Because Chen has been notoriously inconspicuous and no one knows what he looks like, he is able to assume to role of a limousine driver for Lolanto, who takes on the persona of Chen Li himself. While tracking down the corruption, Lolanto and Chen also are trying to win the hearts of the two women, but are they looking for true love or only money?

어수룩한 좀도둑 주전자(홍금보 분)는 형무소에서 사기 전과자(순사기) 등 다섯 명을 만나 인연을 맺게 되고 출소한 후에 오복청소회사를 차려 새로운 삶을 시작하는데, 우연한 기회에 화폐위조단의 비밀을 알게 되어 거듭 위기를 맞게 된다. 한편 강력계형사 악바리(성룡 분)은 과격한 성격의 소유자로 사건을 해결하는 과정에서 계속 실수를 저질러 형사 반장의 미움을 사게 되는데, 주전자는 사건에 휘말려 그와 친하게된다. 주전자는 영주(종초홍 분)라는 미녀에게 반하지만 동료들의 견제로 좀처럼 뜻을 이루지 못한다. 한편 위조지폐단의 두목 진회장은 다른 폭력조직의 두목 하사장과 마찰이 생기고 본의 아니게 위조지폐의 원판을 손에 넣은 주전자 등은 그들의 표적이 된다. 궁지에 몰린 주전자 등은 양대 범죄조직끼리 싸움을 붙여 그들을 일망타진하는데 결정적인 공헌을 한다. 주전자는 용감한 시민상을 받게 되고 영주의 마음을 사로잡아 결혼을 약속 받는다.

Fu Sheng plays Sheng, a playboy who has all the latest cars and technology along with all the tricks for courting the ladies. Sheng’s mom (Lee Heung Kam) along with her personal nurse, Mei (Cherie Chung), arrive in Hong Kong with the intentions of getting Sheng to marry a woman of her liking. 장의사에서 일하는 주석두는 주인 이숙공과 함께 부호였다가 마인상의 대에 와서 가세가 기운 마씨집으로 장례를 치르러 간다. 고향을 떠났던 마인상은 주검으로 돌아오고 처를 자처하는 여인은 만삭이다. 이숙공과 총장은 이씨의 임신을 기뻐하나 주석두는 마인상이 성불구자임을 상기하고 의심한다. 종이사람으로 가장하여 영안실에 숨어든 주석두는 마인상이 조상들의 부장품을 꺼내려고 죽은척 한 것임을 안다. 짜고온 문상객들은 마인상의 자식에게 거대한 유산이 남겨져 있음을 알고 마인상을 살해한다. 원귀 마인상이 주석두에 떨어져 주석두가 죽자 약혼녀는 주술로 부활시킨다.

베트남을 탈출한 호월은 홍콩과 필리핀을 거쳐 미국으로 건너 가려 한다. 하지만 호월의 애인 심청이 필리핀의 차이나 타운 갱조직에 납치되는 일이 발생한다. 호월은 심청을 구하려 애쓰나 결국 구하지 못하고 심청은 갱들에게 무참히 살해당한다. 심청의 복수를 결심한 호월은 미국으로 건너가는 일을 젖혀두고 분노에 휩싸여 심청의 복수를 시작하는데...
