Before her mother sells their family home after the holidays, 30-something struggling author Bria reunites with her three best friends to reminisce and re-create the glory days of their high school years.

When high school senior Brad Lee disappears the night of his graduation ceremony, his girlfriend is forced to question everything she thought she knew about him and their relationship, as well as her own faith, in hopes of finding him.

Three friends - aided by one of the residents - start a night club in a retirement home, after taking a job there working the night shift to put themselves through USC.

Driving to a wedding in Los Angeles through the Mojave Desert, Paul and Adrienne pull off the highway and into Roy's Motel and Cafe. This roadside artifact proves to be a strange and surreal place with an unsettling mix of travelers, who force our couple to discover the secret hidden between them and ultimately, the horrifying reality of their current situation.

Using soundtracks and extensive footage from many old movies, this spoof/homage of 1950's science-fiction films brings back many favorite actors from these classic movies, some reprising their former roles, to help destroy a giant stop-motion monster that is threatening to destroy Los Angeles.

도둑인 마일로와 식당 종웝원인 줄리아, 네 아이의 어머니인 페니, 가수를 꿈꾸는 해리슨, 이렇게 네명은 어느날 우연히 한 버스에 타게 된다. 그러나 운전사가 한눈을 파는 바람에 사고로 모두 죽게 되고 영혼이 되어 한 어린 아기, 토마스의 주위를 맴돌게 된다. 네명의 특성을 모두 갖추게 된 토마스는 주위의 어른들을 놀라게 한다. 경마장에서 도박을 하기도 하고 오페라를 듣는가 하면 공부도 아주 잘한다. 이를 걱정한 부모는 아들에게 정신과 치료를 받게 하려고 한다. 그래서 네 영혼들은 토마스 눈에서 사라진다. 하지만 그들은 토마스가 34살이 될때까지 그 곁을 떠나지 않았다. 그러다 옛날 사고를 냈던 운전사가 내려와 그들에게 죽기직전 하지 못한 마지막 일들을 해야 한다는 말을 듣고 토마스의 육신을 이용해 각자의 삶을 마감하려 한다. 영혼들 때문에 토마스는 혼비백산, 결국 그들을 돕게 된다. 하나씩 천국으로 돌아가고 줄리아만이 남는데 그녀가 놓쳐버렸던 사랑하는 연인인 존은 이미 죽은지 7년이 지난후였다. 그녀는 자신이 죽기전에 해야 할 일이 사랑하는 이를 떠나보냈던 자신과는 달리 토마스가 사랑하는 앤을 떠나보내지 않고 자기 감정을 솔직히 말하게 하는 것임을 깨닫는다. 자신이 할일을 끝낸 줄리아는 만면의 미소를 지으며 천국으로 떠나고 토마스는 앤에게 사랑한다고 고백한다.

네바다주 사막 한 가운데 있는 작은 마을에는 20명도 안되는 주민들이 서로 도우며 살고 있다. 심부름 센터에서 일하는 발렌타인(Valentine McKee: 케빈 베이컨 분)과 얼은 농장의 선반을 만들어 주고 다음 일터로 가려고 황량한 사막길을 가던 중 론다(Rhonda LeBeck: 핀 카터 분)를 만난다. 그녀는 지진학을 전공하는 대학원생으로 한 학기 동안 이 마을에서 지진학을 연구하고 있다. 그녀의 지진계에서는 수 일 전부터 이상한 진동이 기록되고 있다. 마을에서 다른 일을 하다 자신들의 처지헤 와가 난 발렌타인과 얼(Earl Bassett: 프레드 워드 분)은 직업을 바꾸기 위해 이사를 하기로 한다. 새로운 일터로 향하던 그들은 고압 철탑에 매달려 죽은 에드거(Edgar: 선샤인 파커 분)를 발견한다. 이어서 소가 없어지고 전화선이 끊기는 등 이상한 일이 계속되고 마을은 고립된다. 발렌타인과 얼, 론다는 지금가지 일어난 일들의 원인이 사물의 진동을 느기고 공격하는 거대한 뱀의 돌연변이 트레모어스임을 알아낸다. 마을 사람들이 모두 괴물퇴치작전에 앞장서는 가운데 이들은 끝까지 침착함을 잃지 않고 괴물을 퇴치한다.

A psychologist takes a group of patients into the desert for unorthodox therapy only for them to be picked off by an unseen maniac.

A young man at the University of Southern California, called only Mr. Aaines, goes to a job interview at a television studio, where he is told over that phone that he seems like a fine candidate for taking over the management. Unfortunately, when he gets to the "studio" (more like a castle fit for a deranged scientist), all he finds are two mysterious videotape reels who seem to have a life of their own, and a hunger for human flesh.
