샘은 학교 데이터베이스를 해킹한 죄로 갱생 교육기관인 '기관X'에 보내진다. 하지만, '기관X'는 단순한 갱생 교육기관이 아니라 특별한 재능을 가지고 있는 인재들의 정보를 칩에 저장하고, 그 중 특출난 사람에게 칩을 삽입하여 그들의 행동을 로봇처럼 조작하고 통제하는 실험을 하고 있는 곳이다. ‘샘’은 이 모든 진실을 알아내고 그곳을 탈출하여 신고하려고 하지만, 감독관 '아이작'에게 들켜 칩을 삽입 당하고 만다. 기억을 잃은 채, 지하철역에서 깨어난 ‘샘’. 졸지에 살인용의자로 지목되어 경찰에게 쫓기는 신세가 된다. 그런 그에게 접근한 기억을 잃은 소녀 '라라' "그녀는 믿을 수 있는 자인가? 누가 적이고, 누가 친구인가! 누명을 벗겨줄 잃어버린 기억을 찾아라!"

To convince her of the importance of secrecy, he reveals that Eva’s dad is also involved in his illegal affairs. Eva hesitates: is her father who he claims to be? From that moment on, the enterprising girl does her utmost to exonerate her father from being involved. A period dawns in which Eva discovers that grownups also lead their own lives. She wants to ask questions, but at the same time she is afraid of the answers.

Uitgesloten is set in 1983. Jonathan is 18 and, just like his best friend Coen, he has grown up in the Jehovah's Witnesses. In this world with its strict rules, Jonathan and Coen however have their own ideas. Both have girlfriends, Marjan and Annemiek, who live in a very different world: the girls study at art school and mix with squatters. The boys do not tell their girlfriends about their background and they anxiously keep Marjan and Annemiek hidden from their own community. The friends lead a double life: they ring doorbells to distribute the Ontwaakt! and play in a band for the Jehovah's Witnesses, while they also visit ska concerts and squatters' bars and become increasingly caught up in the worldly life of Marjan and Annemiek.
