엘리와 지미 남매는 밤늦게 귀가하던 중 교통사고를 당하고, 구조 과정에서 정체모를 괴물에게 습격당한다. 지미는 괴물이 늑대인간처럼 생겼다고 주장하지만 아무도 신경쓰지 않는다. 지미는 인터넷과 도서관을 돌아다니며 늑대인간에 대한 자료를 수집하던 중 자신들을 공격한 괴물이 늑대인간이며, 괴물에게 상처를 입은 자기들 남매 역시 전염되었다는 것을 확신한다.
