Michiko Shimizu

Naoto Ihara lives happily with his wife Miyuki and their son Haruto. Their happiness is crushed when Miyuki suddenly dies in a car accident. Naoto falls into deep grief over the death of his wife. Meanwhile, Naruto buries his dead mother Miyuki's finger in their garden and prays everyday for her to come back to life. The family is visited by video director Hiroko Kurasawa, who used to work with Naoto Ihara. There she sees Haruto shouting a strange spell in their yard. Unexpected and bizarre phenomenons soon take place around Hiroko Kurasawa.

대형 은행의 출세 코스에서 자회사로 밀려나 그대로 정년 퇴직을 맞이한 타시로 소스케. 세상 사람들에게 끝난 사람이라고 인식되고, 일 하나만 바라보고 걸어온 소스케는 망연자실한다. 미용사인 아내 치구사는 생기를 잃어버린 남편을 내버려 두고 있었다. 소스케는 무슨 일이어도 좋으니까 일하고 싶다는 생각에 재취업을 시도하지만 딱히 큰 특기가 업는 정년 퇴직 남성의 직업은 쉽게 찾아질 리가 없고 부인과 딸에게 바람이라도 피우라며 잔소리를 듣는다. 그러나 멈췄다고 생각한 소스케의 운명이 한 인물과의 만남으로 크게 변화한다.

일본의 아이돌 그룹 모모이로 클로버Z 멤버들이 출연한 이 영화는 지방 소도시의 한 연극부를 무대로 펼쳐지는 청춘 스토리이다. 동경에서 내려온 신임교사와 후지가오카 고등학교 학생 5명이 고교 전국 연극대회를 위해 전력으로 연기에 몰두한다는 내용인데, 텔레비전 드라마와 같은 평이한 구성인데도 극중 인물들처럼 전력으로 투구하는 감독 이하 스태프들의 열정이 화면에 배어나올 정도로 물 흐르듯이 사건이 전개된다. 청춘기의 좌고우면하지 않는 순정, 믿어지지 않을 만큼 성실한 극중 인물들의 상호배려 정신이 선의의 결집으로서의 예술창작 과정에 진심으로 호응하고 싶게 만든다. Chibi Maruko-chan (Japanese: ちびまる子ちゃん?) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Momoko Sakura. The series depicts the simple, everyday life of Momoko Sakura in the times of when she was a little girl where everyone call her Maruko and her family in suburban Japan in the year 1974. The series is set in the former city of Shimizu, now part of Shizuoka City, birthplace of its author.
