The Manchester Passion is a passion play about the last hours of Jesus, retold using a backdrop of the contemporary music of Manchester, England. The event took place on the streets of Manchester, and aired live on BBC Three on Good Friday, 14 April 2006. The event was created by the same people who created Flashmob: The Opera; also aired on BBC Three.
The three young immigrant boys Wasim, Riaz and Munawar are growing up in the east end of Oslo, Norway. They find school extremely boring and become attracted to the hard boiled gang East Side Crew, which is run by the brothers Sadiq and Khalid. Petty theft soon develops into drug dealing, violence and murder.
Jimi (Chris Bisson), the Chopra family's only son, gets caught off guard when his high-handed parents (Saeed Jaffrey and Jamila Massey) announce an arranged marriage to Simran (Jinder Mahal), a lovely girl from a respectable family. Problem is, Jimi's gay, so to hide his homosexuality, he spins an ever-more elaborate web of deceit -- but how long can he conceal the truth?

In desperation Elliot and Oz decide to reply to a telephone dating ad to kickstart their non-existent love lives. Their Prayers are answered when two gorgeous girls agree to meet them on a blind date. Whilst fanning the flames of passion the two boys find themselves playing with fire! A fun filled roller coaster ride begins as the boys get more than they bargained for in their search for love.
