남아프리카 야생동물 보호국은 몬스터 헌터 거머(마이클 그로스)에게 사건을 의뢰하기로 하고, 그를 남아공으로 부르게 된다. 그리하여 조수 트레비스(제이미 케네디)와 남아공으로 가게 된 거머는 그곳에서 만난 요한(브랜든 오렛), 에릭(다니엘 얀크스)와 함께 불가사리 사냥팀을 결성한다. 팀들과 함께 그래보이드를 사냥하던 중 요한을 잃게 되는 거머. 하지만 첫 번째 불가시리 사냥에 성공한 그는 그래보이드에게서 알을 발견하게 된다. 그때 거머에게 총을 겨누는 에릭. 에릭의 정체는 야생동물 보호국이 아니라 그래보이드 밀매 조직의 브로커였던 것. 알이 밀매시장에 퍼지게 되면 남아공 밖으로 불가사리가 퍼져나갈 수 있는 상황에 에릭에 의해 철장에 갇혀버린 거버는 이 일을 어떻게 해결할 것인가?
