John Fordyce

John and George McIntire are a couple of naive brothers who travel to a lawless western town to see their father. The bumbling siblings get themselves into big trouble after they beat up a member of a gang of extortionists. Fortunately, a mysterious roving gunfighter decides to help the guys out of their jam.

1844년 연합군에 항복한 이탈리아의 북부 지역을 점령한 나찌 독일에 의해 레지스탕스에게 협조 하였다는 이유로 마을 전체 주민이 몰살을 당한다. 이를 산에서 숨어 지켜보던 아이들의 눈에는 오로지 독일군에 대한 강한 증오만이 타오를 뿐이다. 한편 미군 측에서는 군사적인 목적으로 이 마을의 댐을 폭파하기 위해 특공대를 침투시키지만 착륙 즉시 몰살을 당하고 만다. 겨우 나뭇가지에 걸려 목숨을 보존한 한명이 이들 어린 전쟁고아들에게 구조가 되지만 부상으로 의식을 회복하지 못하고 죽어 가는 중이었다. 결국 아이들은 독일 점령이의 여의사를 꾀어 납치하여 미군 병사에게 끌고 와 치료를 강요한다. 협박에 못 이겨 치료를 하여 회복을 시키지만 아이들의 눈에 그 미군은 자신들의 적인 독일군들과 싸울 수 있는 방법을 가르쳐 줄 수 있는 유일한 도구일 뿐이다

In 1212, a Children's Crusade is launched after a young shepherd, Jacques de Cloyes, claims to have had a vision in which it is said that the innocence of children would be able to liberate Jerusalem. A monk, returning from Holy Land, joins the crusade and hears the children's confessions, gradually realizing that most of them are taking part not for religious, but for more worldly reasons, like rejected love and hopes for freedom.

Nick tries to kill his wife to get her money, but when learning of this, she plans the same for him!
