1823년 눈보라치는 밤, 한 노인이 자살을 시도하다 실패하고 신부에게 자신의 죄를 고백한다. 비엔나 왕실의 궁정음악가 살리에리는 새롭게 떠오르는 천재 작곡가 모차르트의 소문을 듣고 그의 천재성을 확인하려 한다. 모차르트가 그의 약혼녀를 범하고 오만하고 방탕한 생활을 거듭하자 그러한 모차르트에게 천재성을 부여한 신을 저주하고 그를 증오하기 시작한다. 한편 빈곤과 병마로 시달리던 모차르트는 자신이 존경하던 아버지의 죽음에 커다란 충격을 받고 자책감에 시달린다. 살리에리는 이를 이용해 모차르트가 아버지의 환상에 시달리도록 하면서 진혼곡의 작곡을 부탁하는데...

4명의 호기심과 모험심 많은 소년들이 뉴욕의 자연사 박물관의 선사시대의 공룡전시회를 관람하게 된다. 전시회를 관람하던 중 삼엽충 화석을 발견한다. 센트럴 파크 레이크 (Central Park Lake)로 나선 뒤 비밀의 동굴을 우연히 발견하는데 과거 시간대로 연결되는 신비한 동굴로 과거 선사시대 시간으로 연결되는 그들의 모험이 시작된다. 이 신비한 동굴안에는 "시간 강"흘러 나와 소년들은 배를 구하여 노를 저어 선사시대의 시간으로 도착하게 된다. 모험의 시작으로 온갖 공룡들과 선사시대의 동물들과의 만남으로 다양한 위험에 직면하고 원시시대의 삶에 대해 많은 것을 배워 나가는데.....

The Emperor's mismanagement of his country is provoking some in his court to plot to overthrow him. He feels successful, at least, when he discovers the legendary Golem, which he believes can protect him and even cure his imaginary illnesses but, when he disappears while on a bender, his kindly baker, who looks just like him, is mistaken for him, and begins to put things in order. However, the conspirators, not to be outdone, determine to bring the Golem back to life to do their bidding.
