High schooler Kei Tsuchiya joins The Destroyers when she decides that her longtime karate master is holding her back. She realizes her mistake but it's too late.
Set in 1932, amid the rise of militarism after the establishment of the Manchukuo colony in Northeast China, the story centers on a trio of karateka. Studying under their aging master in a small dojo in the woods of central Kyushu, Choei, Taikan and Giryu face a company of kempeitai military police come to requisition their dojo for use as a military base.

평범하고 보잘것없는 서민 아파트와 상류층이 살고 있는 고급 맨션. 이 사이의 간격을 더 극명하게 드러내주는 건 탁하게 고여있는 두 건물 사이의 간다천이다. 서민 아파트 2층에 살고 있는 아키코는 남자친구와 건조한 섹스를 하거나 옆집 여대생 마사미와 할 일 없이 키득거리며 하루하루를 보낸다. 어느 날 무료한 일상을 함께 보내던 아키코와 마사미는 우연히 망원경으로 살펴본 건너편 고급 맨션에서 모자(母子)가 음란한 포즈를 취하고 있는 것을 목격한다. 아키코와 마사미는 이 소년을 올바른 성(性)의 길로 인도하기 위해 구출작전을 세우고 씩씩하게 간다천을 넘어간다. 그리고 더러운 간다천에서 소년을 사이에 두고 아들을 빼앗기지 않으려는 어머니와 두 여자간의 육탄전이 벌어지게 된다.

At the beginning of the film, we are presented with an ordinary story. It is the story of a student organization's internal struggle. The story begins with the protagonist taking a briefcase and the organization taking it back, along with his woman. The man who brings back the bag faces the woman. The room is somehow symmetrical. The room is somehow left-right symmetrical, with a low angle and fixed screen as in the Ozu style.
