Arthur는 Captain Stanley의 집에 쳐들어가 그의 아내와 그를 살해하려 하는데, 동생을 묻고 뒤늦게 도착한 Charlie는 더 이상 죄를 지을 수 없어 Arthur 일당을 쏴 죽여버리고 떠난다.

의외의 결말이 흥미로운 범죄물. 누명을 쓰고 8년의 수감 생활을 마친 남자, 자폐 증세를 가진 그의 친구, 전과자의 과거를 씻고 레스토랑을 운영하며 평범하게 살아가는 남자가 등장해 범죄조직과 부패 경찰들에 엮여 새로운 ‘건수’를 만든다는 내용이다. 서로 무관하거나 유관한 캐릭터들이 다수 등장해 종착지에서 만나는 구성이고, 공권력에 대한 비판적 시선이 가볍게 담겼다. 중년의 전과자 역을 맡은 티모시 스폴의 연기가 뛰어나다. 연애와 섹스에 관한 쿨한 해석을 던진 의 감독 조너선 테플리츠키의 두 번째 극장편이다.
