한 번도 패한 적이 없는 전랑은 강호를 은퇴하고 신화가 된다. 그에 대한 소문은 무성하지만 그의 과거를 알고 있는 사람은 없다. 어느 날 젊은 킬러는 전랑에게 데려다줄 수 있는 노인 와이를 만나게 된다. 킬러는 전랑을 만나게 되고 나이 든 작은 노인인 것을 알게 된다. 그리고 와이는 전랑의 이야기를 해주게 된다. 일본 제국 군이 물러간 시기의 작은 마을에 과거 기억을 잃은 풍문헌(견자단)이 도착을 하게 된다. 한 사원에서 여인을 만나기로 한 약속만 기억을 하고 있는 문헌은 동네의 골목대장 청년 와이(황자화)에게 길을 묻게 되고, 사례를 받은 와이는 사원까지 가는 빠른 길을 문헌에게 인도하게 된다. 전쟁으로 황폐해져서 산적이 만연한 상황에서 산적들이 그들을 습격하고 문헌은 산적들과 싸워 쓰러트리게 된다. 그후 사원에서 정체를 알 수 없는 인물들에게 공격을 당한 문헌은 오히려 그들을 척살을 하나 자신도 중상을 입게 된다. 와이덕에 살아난 문헌은 사원 옆의 작은 집에 들어가게 되고, 문헌과의 약속 때문에 사원 근처에서 머물며 기다렸던 리(이약동)과 조우하게 된다. 극진한 간호로 점차 건강을 되찾은 문헌에게 불행했던 과거가 덮쳐오게 된다. 그는 사실 전랑이라는 조직의 일원으로 보스가 여인을 잔인하게 죽이는 것을 보고 보스를 죽이고 달아났던 차이다. 보스의 복수를 위해 나머지 전랑들이 공격을 해오게 되고 그는 전력으로 싸우게 된다.
