In October of 1980 Muhammad Ali was preparing to fight for an unprecedented fourth heavyweight title against his friend and former sparring partner Larry Holmes. To say that the great Ali was in the twilight of his career would be generous; most of his admiring fans, friends and fight scribes considered his bravado delusional. What was left for him to prove? In the weeks of training before the fight, documentarians Albert and David Maysles took an intimate look at Ali trying to convince the world and perhaps himself, that he was still “The Greatest.” At the same time, they documented the mild-mannered and undervalued champion Holmes as he confidently prepared to put an end to the career of a man for whom he had an abiding and deep affection

Inspired by a collection of personal notebooks, this feature-length director’s cut of the short film by the same name is an experimental documentary on art, AIDS and activism. Following James Wentzy from South Dakota to New York City, the film traces his days from struggling and surviving as an artist to later becoming an AIDS video activist. In showcasing a unique individual through his involvement with the fight against AIDS and his tireless frontline reportage of the crisis, The Books of James is an intimate portrait of a neglected everyman/hero and unearths a time now forgotten.

엘리와 지미 남매는 밤늦게 귀가하던 중 교통사고를 당하고, 구조 과정에서 정체모를 괴물에게 습격당한다. 지미는 괴물이 늑대인간처럼 생겼다고 주장하지만 아무도 신경쓰지 않는다. 지미는 인터넷과 도서관을 돌아다니며 늑대인간에 대한 자료를 수집하던 중 자신들을 공격한 괴물이 늑대인간이며, 괴물에게 상처를 입은 자기들 남매 역시 전염되었다는 것을 확신한다.

‘헨리’(아담 샌들러)는 낮에는 하와이 수족관에서 동물들을 돌보고, 밤에는 여행객들과의 화끈한 하룻밤을 즐기는 노련한 작업남. 우연히 ‘루시’를 만나게 된 그는 사랑스러운 그녀에게 첫 눈에 반해 다가간다. 그러나 ‘헨리’의 화려한 입담에 넘어온 줄로만 알았던 ‘루시’는 다음 날 그를 파렴치한 취급하며 기억조차 하지 못한다. ‘헨리’는 그녀가 단기 기억상실증에 걸렸으며, 매일 아침이면 모든 기억이 10월 13일 일요일 교통사고 당일로 돌아가버린다는 사실을 알게 된다. 매일이 자신과의 첫 만남인 ‘루시’의 마음을 사로잡기 위해 ‘헨리’는 매번 기상천외한 작업을 시도하고, 하루 하루 달콤한 첫 데이트를 만들어가던 어느 날, ‘루시’는 자신이 단기 기억상실증에 걸렸다는 사실을 깨닫고 충격을 받게 되는데... 과연, 두 사람의 사랑은 이뤄질 수 있을까?

평범하고 화목한 가정에서 걱정 없이 자란 잭 깁스. 어느날 잭은 아버지의 지하 연구실에 내려갔다가 모양새가 괜찮은 손목시계를 하나 발견한다. 도플러라는 제자가 연구를 부탁하면서 보낸 것을 깁스 박사가 실수로 떨어뜨린 것이다. 잭은 시계를 손목에 차고 나와 전학 온 여학생 프란체스카를 만난다. 그녀의 집에서 쓰레기통 치우는 일을 돕던 잭은 무심코 시계의 버튼을 누르고 그 순간 주변이 이상하게 변해버린다.이 시계가 주변의 모든 사물을 정지하게 만든다는 것을 알아낸 잭과 프란체스카는 다양한 곳에서 이 현상을 실험하며 짜릿한 흥분을 느낀다. 그 사이 서먹했던 둘 사이도 한층 가까워지고 잭은 더 이상 바랄 것이 없다. 그러나 하이퍼타임이라 부르는 이 시계의 능력을 아는 것은 두 사람뿐만 아니다. 그동안 비밀리에 하이퍼타임을 연구했던 도플러와 그를 조종한 악당 게이츠는 잭이 가진 시계를 되찾기 위해 갖은 수를 동원한다.

A young woman in L.A. is having a bad day: she's evicted, an audition ends with a producer furious she won't trade sex for the part, and a policeman nabs her for something she didn't do, demanding fellatio to release her. She snaps, grabs his gun, takes his uniform, and leaves him cuffed to a tree where he's soon having a defenseless chat with a homeless man. She takes off on the cop's motorcycle and, for an afternoon, experiences a cop's life. She talks a young man out of suicide and then is plunged into violence after a friendly encounter with two "vatos." She is torn between self-protection and others' expectations. Is there any resolution for her torrent of feelings?
